Lightning Vacation House

We had the happy sunny room at the back for three nights. Nice and quiet. Our hostess was very welcoming and caring. Every day she asked if everything was alright. Large room with lots of space to spread out. Attention to details. Large potplants and (artificial) flowers in the room to make it warm and homely. Little fridge and kettle, cups, glasses and, unexpected and much appreciated, a set of plates and bowls plus cutlery and tea towel for people like us who have their breakfast "at home". Bed big and comfy. Bathroom good size, plenty of towels of all sizes, all very clean. We would stay here again. Can strongly recommend. Also, location is excellent, particularly if using public transport. It's directly opposite the train station and a 10 - 15 minute walk to the old town.

Everything was great

My apartment looked out on to a courtyard and was just across the road from the station. You are given a key to the entrance gate and apartment. This area is dark at night, look for the street number quite high up. In daylight it is an easy walk to the Cathedral, river (next to the Hilton) and the historic town.

It was raining heavily and very dark when I arrived in Sighisoara so was relieved to find apartment.

Cornel, the owner, made us feel completely at ease and at home! He offered us Romanian wine and gave us some great tips on where to eat in Sighisoara and hidden gems to visit in Romania - including some cool festivals. Location is easy… 10 min stroll to citadel. Opposite station, close to convenience store 👍. Our room was spotlessly clean, great size with a big comfortable bed and we had a little terrace with table and chairs to relax outside. Definitely recommend this place. Easy like Sunday morning!

Comfortable bed, WiFi worked well, hot water in the shower, quiet area with an adorable doggie, but barked a bit in the morning. Host was very responsive in communication!

Really nice place. Clean, super comfy bed. The day we arrived we’d picked up a cold virus, the hosts were really great, gave us extra blanket and some cold sachets. The apartment is built into the back of a family home, one big room, with separate hall and bathroom. There’s a yard outside with grass and a nice view of the mountain. It’s on a nice quiet street, literally 1 minute walk from the train station and 10 minutes into the old town. Really nice people run it, they gave us good tips of places to eat. Very good value for money. Highly recommended. Also worth noting, Sighisoara is great, with all the historical sights, but do check out some of the hill walks in the area. Great place.

Very kind owner. Dog friendly. Quite calm part of the city but still very close to the historic centre.
