Admittedly there are fancier options available in Ella but staying here means the money helps a local family rather than an outside investor. The husband and wife team work hard to provide for their two daughters. Unluckily for them, they built the accomodation 3 years ago only to be hit by COVID-19 devastating tourism. This is the first year where they have been able to finally get going. The owners have tried their very best to ensure visitors are comfortable. The room is spacious - two double beds for a single traveller. Immaculately clean. Hot water showers are appreciated. A pedestal fan is provided. There is no air conditioning but that is not needed in Ella's climate. A generous breakfast was included and comprised of simple, wholesome local food. Lunch and dinner can be arranged with some notice. Again homely Sri Lankan food - LKR1500 per meal.

Do not come here expecting views. This reflected in the price. The owners try to compensate by ensuring excellent service. The location is a little further out from town, but this ensures you get some peace from the hustle of Ella proper. If you want easy access to bars and restaurants, look elsewhere. The owner operates a tuk tuk and transportation can be easily arranged. The wife speaks little English but the husband speaks good English and is always available via telephone.

The family looked after me so well here. The hugest breakfast you've ever seen and you have your own private tuk to take you into town and back. Great!

The facility offered all as listed. The host was extremely helpful. Picked us from the station and dropped us back. Willing to help us and looked after all our needs

Beautiful clean room with lots of space, bathroom was tidy with warm water. Nice and quiet location, only thing it's missing is a view. Breakfast was large and delicious. Owner was very helpful and was great getting us around Ella. Only thing it's missing is the view.

WiFi didn't want to work but wasn't a problem for us

The owner was very friendly and tried to make everything possible for me. You can get breakfast the time you want. He always drove me with his tuktuk for free into the city.
