The homely feel. The hosts left no stones unturned to make us feel home. The best is the riverside dinner and Breakfast.

I had such a beautiful moment at Green Chromide Homestay. Sunaina and her family are adorable, and the room is perfect and large. It has a big confortable bed, a nice bathroom with hot water, and a terrasse. It's very clean and pleasant. They have tables, chairs and hamocs on the bank of the river and you can relax in the shade, take breakfast or dinner. It's just perfect, so relaxing. The location is also ideal, and very calm, no dogs barking and no noise. It's not far from some small stores. I used their bicycle to explore the island. I'm was traveling solo and as a woman, I felt very safe in this homestay. Your experience on Munroe Island can be very different according to where you stay and I'm so happy I chose this place.

setting was beautiful! having delicious breakfast right next to the scenic relaxed river was wonderful. Sunaina was such a warm, friendly hostess: she went out of her way to help us in every way possible. we were treated like family!

This was my favourite stay in India. Amazing location, food was incredible and Sunaina and her family were so kind. There were bikes available to go around the island, and she organised a sunrise canoe which was beautiful and reasonably priced. I arrived quite late and Sunaina tracked my journey and I felt so safe. Thank you so much!

Lovely family homestay. Sunaina and her family were perfect hosts and made us feel really welcomed. The location is wonderful and we enjoyed sitting in the garden, with beautiful views of the river, for relaxing and eating our meals. The food was delicious and one of the best we experienced in Kerala. We explored the local area and Sunaina arranged a sunrise boating trip for us, which was spectacular. Highly recommended.

The property is family run and all of them, including the children and grandparents, were most welcoming, friendly and helpful during our stay. They are truly magnificent hosts. The two brothers and their wives prepared the very tasty food and generally looked after us splendidly including organising a dawn punted canoe ride which was a highlight of our stay. The location is stunning. We had our meals and spent leisure time in the lovely riverside garden and our private balcony double was clean, spacious and comfortable. Overall we had a very enjoyable visit, with lovely caring hosts and all at a very reasonable price.

A lot of care and consideration has gone into this homestay. The location is peaceful and idyllic and Sunaiana the host radiates warmth and friendliness. We thoroughly enjoyed our (unfortunately short) time in the villa - we relaxed by the river and went on a sunrise canoe tour, as well as visiting the local women who make coir from coconut fibre. We would 100% recommend this to other travellers. Thank you Sunaina and family for a wonderful time away from the main tourist trail of Kerala!
