Cosy bedroom near University

Danijela was very nice and really helpful.

We spent 4 nights in July and it was sooo hot because the rooms dont have ac (they didn't advertise them). We couldn't sleep at night. I believe our stay would be much pleasant if we came in winter time. Toilet was ok, but there was a lot of hair from previous guests in the shower. Location is not that great either. The bus station from where most buses take off is 20 minutes walk distance, which is a lot on 40 degrees. There was no cold water to refresh on hot days. Overall it's ok for budget traveling.

- the owner of the house thinks that she can get away with the state of neglect of the place only because it's cheaper than most accomodations, so she rents every nook and cranny of the house as it was a suitable room for hosting... people were actually sleeping in closets! - the house, which is really beautiful, is actually used as a dumpster of broken furniture and worn out linen, dusty, unusable things are scattered everywhere in the common spaces making them unusable and disgusting - all maintenance works done to the poor house look poorly made and adds to the sorry state of the place, instead of helping - our room was exposed to the sun all day but no air conditioning, the heat was unbearable - the bed was lined with a plastic material, making sleep impossible - no insect net, so I was eaten alive by mosquitoes - there was only a small lamp in the bedroom and one in the bathroom, so at night it was difficult to see - every single piece of furniture was flaking off and half broken. - the cleaning didn't extend to under the furniture, or over it, the walls were covered in stains - the common kitchen gave off a nauseating smell: things were rotting in the fridge and nobody cared to clean - it was a real nightmare. Cheap doesn't mean nasty. I travelled cheap all my life but this is the first time I am so nauseated. Don't even think about booking a room here.

Very nice

the property is very close to Valletta and the waterfront. A lot of hospitality and kindness from the managers of the structure.

The bed is made up of two single beds, attached together, and the connection isn't noticeable. The mattress was a good balance between hard and soft, leaning towards the hard side - which I liked. The shower and toilet, that were exclusive to my room, were kept clean and tidy.

No air conditioning, which made the nights quite humid and warm, making sleep difficult. The kitchen was tidy, only to be made messy by other guests. Shame, since it was not tidied up, and the dirty dishes and old washing sponges made the kitchen not very welcoming. Also, no wifi for my room specifically.

We enjoyed the view from the terrace of the building. The kitchen was OK, although some of the devices weren't working, the basic stuff was available.

Our experience was extremely unpleasant, not only because of the conditions of the apartment, but also the host lady. Our stay was problematic from the beginning, when she didn’t respond to our message saying we would be ariving soon and need the key. We had to wait for her to arrive in her car and yet she blamed us for arriving too soon (even tho the check in was from 3PM and we arrived at 5PM). Our room wasn’t even ready so we had to wait extra 30 mins for her to prepare it. What is more, the bathroom was really dirty, lacking utilities like handsoap and with stains of mold. Once we used the other bathroom to wash our hands and we got yelled at for it. The worst part, however, was the night we stayed up all night scratching our faces and bodies to find out the next morning that the bed was full of small BUGS. When we called the host, she started yelling and accusing us that it’s not true and we made it up. After we literally showed her the bugs, she started being really defensive saying that it was us who brought it, even tho the bugs were coming from within the bed and only from the bed and there were like hundreds of them. She even accused us of purposely making up problems only to write a bad review and “ruin” her business. After the bug incident, we got a new room and a bathroom, but she kept blaming us of being problematic. If at least her attitude was better, our experience wouldn't be so bad. 100% would not recommend.
