The Bike House

Great location just a few minutes walk from Ipanema beach. Room was very comfortable. Ricardo was a fantastic host. He gave us information about sights and booked airport transfer for us.

The nicest host, very good location and the place felt like home which is why we extended our stay for the whole time we were in Rio.

A perfect place to stay in Rio. Central, close to bars and shopping and the most Beautiful beach of Rio de Janeiro. But as well calm enough to sleep perfect and rest. Ricardo is a great Host and always helping with everything. The WiFi is fast, everything is clean and I will definitely come back!

Everything! This is perfectly named The Bike House, because it feels like a home away from home and you can rent bikes. Very comfortable escape in the heart of Rio de Janeiro. Ricardo is the host and he is a wonderful human who is well informed and very friendly! The room was comfortable, there were lots of shelves and storage with well placed electrical outlets. Also the shared bathroom feels private and there are two bathrooms. He has a big filtered water to refill your bottle or there is a kitchen with cups and every utensil. Very grateful for this place and Ricardo's kindness. Cannot wait to come back one day!

Ricardo is an excellent host, lovely to have access to kitchen and patio , super location, very safe, walkable, great lively, socially mixed neighbourhood.

I bike everywhere usually so I naturally chose The BIKE HOUSE but the bikes are very old and heavy, no helmets available, and no attachment to carry the bike lock. THE MOST important thing to improve though: hand towels in bathrooms, kitchen towels and sponges all need to be thrown out.. clean new ones regularly changed are ESSENTIAL.. and bathmats required. Kitchen utensils are like that of a student flat. These are some things that would make a huge difference.. and a 10 rating for the price
