Malabar home stay by Jaffna Tours & Excursions

Room size was good although we were in the villa which doesn't have ac. We had dinner one night which was very nice but ready 1 hour later than we'd been told so pretty hungry by the time it arrived.

Kitchen not that clean although we weren't cooking. Fridge in the villa was very smelly but ok to chill water bottles etc.

This was an enchanting stay in a residential suburb not too far outside of the main Jaffna city. The house is 150 years old, and it does feel like staying in an old mansion - with the giant keys and fancy doors. The guesthouse owner was very kind and helpful, and made me delicious food for dinner. He also assisted with laundry for no charge. There is no heated water, but there is a built in "fountain" in the wall, which added to the old-timey feeling.

Loved the place and the atmosphere. Rooms were quiet and cosy and the food was fabulous. Located close to many locations in Jaffna where you could easily visit. Host was very friendly and flexible with excellent response times for any help we required.

Very homely, room was large and clean with good airconditioning. The host was super nice, helpful and friendly, always around to offer help. His wife makes the most delicious home made Jaffna food, try the mutton and crab curry. The place is on a very quiet street, however, it was easy to get a tuk tuk in and out of town or to any place of interest.

Really gentle staff, were able to leave our bags after check out to discover the city. The villa is amazing, you have your own kitchen, own garden and patio. Definetely would recommend
