Malabar home stay by Jaffna Tours & Excursions

Such a lovely stay with Karthi Akka and her beautiful family. The home itself has been beautifully kept to reflect what open plan living was like once in Jaffna. I loved my outdoor shower and bath tub! Karthi is an amazing cook and this location was perfect for me being close to family. Travelling alone as a woman, I felt very safe and looked after.

A quaint little Home Stay with very friendly hosts and absolutely delicious food. What I loved most was their ultra accomodative spirit in catering to each guest's varied palates. Very peaceful atmosphere and homely ambience for those who wish to spend your holidays with minimum clutter. Food cooked and served by the hosts was very Authentic and you get the real taste and feel of being in Jaffna. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience the very essence of Jaffna and it's beautiful, friendly people ❤️

Nothing for this stay

Simple but functional. Cozy little homestay with a great host and very tasty food. Tranquil and calming ambiance. Adi also went out of his way to help us with a transport related matter. Absolute gem of a place & great value for money.

The hosts Adi and Kati are the most friendly, they happily give you recommendations on what to do/see. Their local food offered (breakfast/dinner) is tasty and authentic. It’s well located, you can ride the bike to the city centre. it’s the best place to explore Jaffna and the region.

Bathroom could have been better. The door was hard to lock

The hosts, the house and the food. Location was pretty good. About $1.2 for a TukTuk to Jaffna fort.

Everything was great. Just simple cloth covering sheets would make it better, also a sink in the double room bathroom.

If you've ever wanted to go to Sri Lanka, go now! Super nice and helpful people, no crowds even on the most tourist trails and attractions, kindness and smile at every step. Malabar Home Stay is run by the charming family of Adi and Kati and they make this place unique thanks to their calm and delicate energy. A calm, almost spiritual atmosphere is in the air and permeates every moment spent in this 150-year-old house. The rooms are simple, almost minimalist, but well-kept, clean and spacious. The bathroom with a concrete tub is absolutely unique. The house is located in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle of the center, which is only 10 minutes away by tuktuk. The homemade food, as you can imagine, was delicious. We really felt like visiting family in Jaffna :) Adi and Kati thank you for the exceptional atmosphere! <3
