Ella Peace Heaven

Ella Peace Heaven is located outsite of the lively Ella City area, on the way to Uva Halpewatte Tea Factory, surrounded by urban gardens and with a great view on Mahamevnawa Monastery and surrounding hills. Samith and his family were so lovely and supportive. I felt home and comfortable. Best spot would be the hammock.

A week before we were to arrive at Ella Peace Heaven, we were contacted by our host Samith, who is the owner of this family run accomadation with a pdf brochure of things to do in Ella. Very thoughtful gesture. When we arrived there, we were greeted by his father with a smile and showed us our room. Our room had 4 separate beds ( we specifically booked this room) and a bathroom cum toilet. Clean and tidy. Hot water was available all time. There is a balcony with 2 hammocks for relaxation. Amazing view from the balcony. We had tasty home cooked Sri Lankan meals. The accommodation is a bit away from the hustle and bustle of Ella town, which provides calmness, but only a short ride away by Tuk Tuk. Samith was always available to answer any questions we had and gave us valuable suggestions. We were able to contact him even when he was not at the premises. We were catching an early train from Ella and thoughtfully, we were given packed breakfast to take with us. Samith also very kindly dropped us at the station. We had interaction with the pleasant family, Mr and Mrs Samith, their adorable children and his parents. We had a memorable stay and enjoyed our stay at Ella Peace Heaven.

Lovely place a little bit out of time but loved the nature around it. Family always there to offer if ring bell. No air con but temperature in Ella was lower so this felt not an issue in the slightest.

Samith and his family have created a little home away from home on the outskirts of Ella town. The accommodation is cozy, clean and comfortable. A highlight was chilling in the hammocks in the morning watching the world go past. Samith is always contactable via WhatsApp and he sends you a full list of activities to do in Ella. The family encourages you to join in on the family fun and I ended up playing badminton with them all! Ella Peace Heaven provides a little oasis away from the more touristy Ella town.

Nothing. Enjoyable stay. Thank you Samith. Things to note: - it’s best to stay here if you have rented a tuk tuk or scooter as it costs approx 800 LKR in a tuk tuk each way or it’s a 40 minute walk to the town. - The shower pressure is weak however hot water is available which is great. - No aircon or fan however the temperature drops over night so it’s not a problem. Blanket provided so you don’t get cold. - No lockers, however you get a key for your room so it’s not a problem

Fantastic family place. We felt at home there. Rooms look perfect. Great breakfasts and also excellent lunches. The view from the balcony is fantastic. It was nice to lie in the hammock and enjoy it. Great value for money. The owner Samith and his family are fantastic people. Kindness radiates from them. Samith has helped us with countless things. He helped us plan our stay, adapting our plans to the number of days we stayed. He took us on a trip to Diyaluma Falls. It was our best day in Sri Lanka, after we ate lunch with a beautiful view. Everything at a very good price. We also rented a scooter at a much better price than you can get in the city. I highly recommend it, it was the best place we stayed in during our entire stay in Sri Lanka. We are already planning to return and will recommend this place to our family and friends.

Quite place and I can see peacocks here. The host is so kind, he helped me to use a hairdryer(I couldn’t use it because of outlet). Dinner(Sri Lankan curry) was really good! It was the best curry in Sri Lanka for me.
