Sura Homestay Kandy

Sura and his wife were super friendly and very helpful staff. And the place is very comfortable, clam and value for the money..

The family were very warm and welcoming and the breakfast was good. Reasonable WiFi but it did dip out at times. A modern looking bathroom.

Wasn't sure about the bed covering, whether it was clean or not, would have preferred proper sheets. We did get a top sheet after asking. It's a distance from town so you need some sort of transport. Quite a noisy street.

The room and bathroom were super clean, the AC worked well, and the hosts were really friendly! They cooked a delicious dinner for us and were flexible about the check out time. We’d choose Sura Homestay again, and highly recommend it!

The host was super smiley, friendly, and welcoming. Very accommodating and helpful. The bed was massive. Superb terrace. Great view.

He helped us with the tuktuk to take us to the accommodation, free of charge.

The terrace where the meal is served is very miserable, the second evening the owner was drinking alcohol with his friends. I had no privacy. The accommodation is very far from the city. High scores are given by people who are asked by owners to give them high scores. In the evening the house closes and you are effectively locked in there, we spent a lot of time trying to get out of the house in the morning, it is very dangerous to be locked in the evening without the possibility of going out.

It is worth the value. No luxury at all, but for the price it is perfect. You get breakfast and warm shower, big balcony to chill out on, and surprisingly comfortable bed and great sleep even though it is above the road. It is a very local experience stay.
