Great apartment in city centre of Alesund. Spacious room, clean bathroom, well equiped kitchen, nice common area. Perfect location - just few minutes to all important places, close to restaurants, bars, shops etc. Very welcoming and helpful owner, explained us everything after our arrival with some recommendations. We saw the good reviews before, but the place was even better.

Relatively close to the loc bus terminal am as well as to two different fjord cruise departure points ( for different fjord cruises lines ). The main shopping areas are close as well. Also, over all the rooms ( meaning the bedroom and the bathroom are large in comparison to other hotel places, however the room is very very basic. The bed comfort was ok however I would suggest that new pillows are purchased. And lastly, I am happy with the responsiveness of the management of this apartment.

Rather narrow and steep stairs /- with no elevator makes it hard to carry luggage upstairs / especially if one has more than one small piece ( 21”) . That information about not having elevator there is „ hidden deep” in the description as posted on bookings. Also, as much as I appreciated having access to washer and dryer - I really didn’t like the fact that it was two floors down / in a dark and rather smelly basement as well as the fact that to get there one has to walk through another occupied apartment to get there. The light in the basement in the are with the washer and dryer js sensor based and it gets spooky at snigger when the lights turn off . And I think it would be a good idea to have English info posted as two what program does what and what bottoms to press and which not to press. The machines are not very intuitive. Lastly, for me personally the entire configuration of this arrangement was weird and not what I am used to . I guess I had a different concept of a „ studio apartment” and I had envisioned it as a part of the main hotel as opposed to a part of house or a student dormitory type of arrangements. Again a that’s me and someone else may be fine with that. Also, the street outside can get loud especially with the pub being almost across. The apartment is not soundproof by any means.

The friendly, welcoming host and the location in the centre....near to Tourist Information and a supermarket. I liked having my own fridge in my room and the kitchen had everything I needed, if I'd wanted to prepare my own food.

There was nothing to dislike. I travel on my own and on a budget. This suited my needs perfectly
