The House

We liked the bed, and was comfortable to sleep in. The size of the bedroom was large enough to lay out our bags, the room was a flashback to the 1980s with the furniture and carpet.

The room was outdated, I understand this is in a person's house, so is suited to older people who wish to live in the 1990s. The TV is small and usable barely with a set of bunny antenna booster. We kindly asked to use the washing machine and unfortunately our only option given was for us to separate our cotton clothes from other materials which made it way to difficult to sort before the host was needing to operate the washing machine.

Close to friends. Good off street parking and privacy

Warm welcome from our host and good cafes nearby. Plenty of space in the accommodation and off street parking.

Somewhat makeshift kitchen arrangements

Comfortable bed. Hosts friendly (though not initially as I was locked out - see below). Good advice given for eating out locally.

Toilet not cleaned. When I arrived late afternoon, there was no one home, and the only contact details I had was a landline, which was unanswered for around 2 hours after I attempted to enter my room. There was no note left on the door for me. I'd had no communication post booking confirmation concerning my expected time of arrival. I spent almost two hours attempting to make contact by phone and paid one last visit before attempting to find a motel - the hosts arrived home a moment after i arrived sometime after 6pm. No apology provided - just said they had to go out. I was not at all happy - 2 minutes later I would have departed to find alternative accommodation. After a long day of travel, I had been looking forward to relaxing in my room, but this was not possible. I suggest at minimum, leave a note on the door for expected guest. Better still, give them a phone call to explain if you need to go out.

The owners were very sweet

Shower box wasn’t clean and only minimum amenities were available. No response on the chat so better to ring them if any questions after booking.
