The House

I loved it. John and Sue are friendly and showed me around. They said they're available to help if needed. In the kitchen there's jug, fridge (not freezer I don't think), microwave, toaster and some tea coffee milk and oats available. It's a big room and warm. The shower was nice. Everything was good. I will stay again if I can.

I saw spiders but that's ok because no one can help it and my house also gets spiders too. Otherwise everything else was perfect.

A friendly couple (hosts) waited for us after 10 pm due to our flight arriving late. Clear instructions, quiet location, comfortable bed and clean facilities gave us a good start to our holiday.

Didn't notice the hidden long driveway right after a road since we arrived at a dark night. Google maps could provide proper instruction on dot.

The location was excellent for driving into Christchurch. There were roadworks at the time but they didn't bother us. We always got into the city centre easily. It was a suburban area, so very quiet and safe. The shower worked very well. The bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the privacy of being able to stay in the downstairs part of the house. The price of the accommodation is excellent. The price probably reflects the aspects of the accommodation which are not perfect. The owners are very friendly.

The carpets need replacing and the kitchenette could also be improved and made more user friendly.

Nice spacious room had the bathroom to ourselves. Bed was comfy! Nice location in quiet neighbourhood, small shop 0.5 mile walk.

the hosts seemed surprised to see us when we arrived, we had a friendly first greeting nonetheless. Asked to use the washing machine as it states in the listing you can, but host seemed very naffed off about it, we felt awkward. Hung it out on the line (asked if this was ok first) to which host then came and knocked on our room in a rather rude manner told us to go and bring our washing in after just a couple hours. It wasn’t doing any harm.

Comfy room and stay. Entertaining hosts. We have the whole ground floor for ourselves. Very good experience.
