Miraflores Kennedy Park

- City centre location -We asked for a fan, and it was given to us the next day, which helped a lot. Without it, the heat was unbereable, and we couldn't sleep at night.

-the host insisted that we have to pay "the comission" which we've never heard or seen anywhere else in peru or on our booking. We were charged extra money. -it is way too hot without the fan and then when you open the windows, it's really loud and there's no privacy. ‐the place wasn't cleaned, and there was no bin place outside. We asked the host for some toilet paper which they never replied to. -the bathroom was too humid for the towels to dry so we had wet towels every day since they weren't changed. - the mattress was way too soft and uneven.

The room itself is nice, spacious, has space to put your luggage etc. The bed is comfortable, though i suggest removing the layer of blankets before you even get on it, as they easily slide around and could land you on the floor. Beyond that it makes for a comfortable night sleep on a thick mattress. The location is perfect between Kennedy and 7 July parks, close to many shops, restaurants, transport options and such. Bathroom was good with a nice and warm shower, clean toilet, sink etc. They let me keep my bags in there for a couple of hours between checkout and having to go to the airport.

Despite getting daylight somehow, the room has no windows that open, they are opaque and screwed shut. I'm not sure if all rooms are like that. Checking in is a bit weird: it's a bit like and airBNB, you can whatsapp and a friendly lady will open the door for you, but the door bell doesn't seem to do anything at all. After that you just a set of keys so you can let yourself in, so that's fine.

Very central location, full vibe and noise of the city! Restaurants near by, as well as the Park. The tourist information is just 100m down the road, so good for the airport bus, and other things such as the start of the city walks etc.

This isn't a hotel per se, but the rooms are nice and clean. Booking.com quoted me $54 for the stay, but when I paid, I had to pay $63.72. I still have no idea where this hidden charge came from, but as I didn't want to argue with the host, i just paid it. I was told it was the "commission" charge which I must pay - but after 4 weeks in Peru, this was the first time I had heard of and paid this charge.
