Alex Home Stay

Our time at Alex Home Stay was wonderful! So far the nicest and cleanest accommodation we have stayed in on our 3 month trip. The breakfast was excellent! We felt very comfortable and would come back at any time! Thanks for everything Malka! :-)

Alex homestay is one of the best homestays I’ve stayed in! Malka is an amazing host and you immediately feel welcome! The property have an amazing view (I considered staying and extra night just for the view), my room was very delicate and clean and had a private attached balcony (which was a very positive surprise to me). I had access to a kitchen corner and fridge. There is busses going into the old part of town all the time, so it is no problem that the homestay is a bit outside of the main tourist area. I can highly recommend Alex homestay!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean, no complaints here at all! Highly recommend staying here!

Super nice home stay. The host is very helpful with everything. Lovely house. I loved the view and could spot monkeys in the morning.

I really enjoyed my stay in 1 person room. Although it was only for one night and I booked it only 2-3 hours before my arrival, the hosts made a really warm welcome for me, e.g. offered me an umbrella as it was pouring, offered me some tea and had long and interesting conversations with me. The room itself was clean, quite spacious, there was hot water in the shower, balcony was with a great view. Also, there was a possibility to use shared kitchen. Would have stayed longer there if I wouldn't had the need to proceed my trip through Sri Lanka. The hosts also offered me a nice breakfast at early morning. Very cosy place and really heart warming hosts, they truly enjoy hosting people from other countries.

Everything was wonderful. Balcony with mountain view. Large bedroom with a desk, fan, AC. Beautiful bathroom with spacious shower cubicle. Hot shower. Wi-Fi actually worked (first place we’ve been that has decent Wi-Fi!). Quiet for a large city as elevated and back from the road. Fantastic kitchen and really cold full height fridge (no freezer). Everything completely immaculate. Lovely hosts. Could not have asked for more

A great homestay, Malka is an amazing host, she welcomes you like a member of her family and does everything possible to make sure you enjoy your stay. The rooms are on the top floor and have balconies with amazing views out across the valley to the mountains in the distance. Massive fridge to store drink and a little kitchen area to prepare snacks. Breakfast was good, very generous and we had dinner there twice, which was also very good. Alex is great for organising tours. He arranged an excellent car with a super driver to take us on a three day tour. Speak to him first before booking anything in Sri Lanka.

Just one word of warning, the rooms have fantastic views because the house is built into the hillside, so there quite a few steps in the building.

Great stay with great people. Nice place with beautiful view. Our hosts took care of everything we needed. They recommended a great guide, we could cook together and they made us feel welcome. The room was clean, we had access to a small kitchen. Alex Home Stay was a great choice, I really recommend it.
