The hosts are amazing and helpful!!! The rooms and the space are very clean and comfortable. It really felt like home. :) Beautiful hills view from the room balcony. If I ever go back to Kandy, I’ll definitely stay there again. Thanks Alex & Malka

We had a great stay here in Kandy. The rooms were really clean and tidy with an amazing view from the balcony. Malka and her husband were amazing hosts. They explained to us the area and how to get where. They prepared a super great breakfast which was rich and delicious. You can reach everything via Tuktuk or supermarket even by foot. Really recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay here with hosts Alex and Malka. The room was large and bright and the bed very comfortable. There was a bedside table and a clothes rack which we found handy! There was a kettle with complimentary tea bags. A fridge just outside our room was very useful and there was a small kitchen available for guests to use if they wanted. We were so pleased to have a roomy balcony looking out over the town and away up to the beautiful mountains. We spent time just relaxing there enjoying the view and listening to the birds in the trees all around us. Breakfast was excellent! There was a good selection and it was very tasty and plentiful and set us up for the day! The area is very quiet and yet not far from the centre of Kandy thanks to the tuktuks we used using the PickMe app which our hosts recommended to us.

We had read that there were steep steps to the property so were prepared for them and the handrails helped but they ARE steep and you need to climb the stone steps carefully.

Nice comfortable room with everything you need and access to a kitchen. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread is delicious.

We stayed 2 nights in Alex Home Stay ! The welcome was fabulous, as the hosts themselves. They are here for you whatever you need (and more !) but not too intrusive. You can rely on them for everything. The room was very nice and clean, with a beautiful view from the balcony where you can enjoy a drink or foods. It is a very peaceful place, where you can rest after a great day of visits and you feel like home !

Very friendly host and amazing view from the balcony. We enjoyed our stay here and the breakfast was nice. The way to the homestay is very steep, so a tuktuk is recommended. Due to the rain and fog was a lot of humidity in the room but it did not bother us too much. We would come again!!

I really enjoyed my stay at Alex Home Stay. Malka and Alex are such lovely people and they went above and beyond. They helped me with everything I needed, from practical advice to arranging my day trip to Sigiriya. The room had everything you'd need and there is an amazing view from the balcony. There is also a little kitchen with fridge, kettle, utensils and everything else you may need for simple food preparation. If you want to feel welcome like a member of their family, this is the perfect place to book for your stay in Kandy!

The property was relaxing, clean and comfortable. The rooms were spacious, the bathroom facilities were extremely clean and modern, the view from the balcony was serene, and best of all, the hosts of the property Malka and Alex were extremely warm, hospitable and kind people. Thank you so very much for hosting us, we loved our stay. There is a supermarket near by at the bottom of the hill The neighbourhood is friendly and peaceful

We really enjoyed our night at Alex Home Stay. Alex and Malka were really kind and helpful when it came to helping us figure out our plans for seeing Kandy and taking the train to Nuwara Eliya the next day. (Breakfast was also really nice!) We would stay with them again in a heartbeat!
