location was good but nothing else

Property is sterile and lacks any character.My shared bathroom was not even on the same floor.It was located on the next level down and at the end of a long character.Atypical example of a homeowner,operating remotely, profiting from the tourist industry but delivering little.The location is good but the accomodation does not offer value for money and is expensive for what it is.

The room is clean and big, the hotel in the center of the city,communication with the stuff is good.

Great Hostel/Guest house just steps away from the center of the city! Comfortable beds, strong wifi, great showers and kitchen were all in great condition. Would definitely return when rolling through Ponta Delgada again!

Location was great, room was spacious. We had some troubles with our room, but the staff was really helpful, communicated well and fast and we were able to resolve it together. For that I thank them.

The bathrooms are far, but it's really managable. Kitchen could be more equipped, but for the price a great deal. We had some other troubles that were resolved during our stay.

Big room (Caldeiras), comfortable bed, good location, WiFi, clear instructions.

Sharp knife missing in the kitchen, only 2 sockets in the room, poor WiFi signal in Caldeiras room.

The location is great in terms of access to the centre of town, the waterfront, taxis, etc. The room and bathroom (NOT en suite) were clean. Instructions for access were reasonably clear. I could book in a bit early which was great. The cleaner was friendly and helped me with managing the bathroom key.

Overall this was reasonably good value for money, but a few things must be clarified. First, the bathroom is private but not en suite (in fact it is quite far from the room). This is a deal breaker for many so should be made clearer. It is claimed to be on a quiet street and that is not so. It is a main access road to the restaurant area and the cars drive very fast on the cobbled surface making the traffic loud! There is no clothes rack and this makes at least airing clothes in the very humid climate, difficult. There is not even a fan in the room. The locks on the interior rooms are flimsy and loose so that leaving valuables feels risky. There is no safe. Some of the problems mentioned in many of the reviews can be easily fixed and will make a big difference.

Central location, clean room and shower.

Sound isolation was none existant in my room, everytime a plane flew by or car was in the street or people talking, it would wake me up, even if I am heavy sleeper. AC wasn't working. The private shower/bathroom was not connected to the room and it had no working lock.

Clean and we could leave the bags before check in. Host replied quickly upon messages.

The distance to the bathroom was really far and on a different floor. It is also very hot during and difficult to sleep on days with high temperatures in the summer.
