4ty two Homestay Galle

The owners were so so so lovely and kind and warm. The priority was beautiful, made us feel like at home. You can see how much love they put into it. The rooms were very nice and big and clean and even had a balcony and we had an over head fan. The end was confortable and we chose to have breakfast at their home and the breakfast was amazing! They even cooked us Banana Pancakes! I can only highly recommend this home stay! 10 out of 10. Best home stay we stayed at so far here in the south.

Friendly, just like home

It's a nice clean and simple room with a tiny balcony, but they had a bigger common balcony across my room. But opening the Balcony door in the room let a lot of light and fresh air into the room. I booked the budget room and I had done a search with private bathroom assuming it would be en-suite but it wasn't.. The bathroom for the budget room is in the ground floor but fortunately there was another room that wasn't booked, a room after mine so was lucky to run around and back to the room in my g strings. Over all I don't have too many qualms other than my initial surprise of the bathroom. The owner is always ready with a big smile and you can discuss your travel queries with him. He was very helpful and also there was this petite aged woman who served me coffee and helped me with getting my laundry done, she was absolutely adorable and I would definitely go visit them both again If I was back at Galle.

It's a little deep inside and a good walk from the main road and much longer to the infamous Galle fort area. The view is average overlooking an empty property and a couple of old houses. The private bathroom not being an en-suite was a big surprise but I guess it was lost in translation somewhere. The room is a little compact than expected.

Close to the train station and old town. Hosts are amazing, really nice. Clean and comfortable room, peaceful neighborhood. Available drinking water and a fridge.

Very nice family, had nice conversations with them. Gives good advices and the rooms are big, good and clean!

It was a very good place with good facilities, owners were nice too

The location was bit hard to reach, specifically if someone does not have their own vehicle.

This is a beautiful place that served our needs incredibly well. It was spotlessly clean and the hosts were amazing. We left a very important souvenir of our trip behind and they very kindly sent it on to our next place which went above and beyond our expectations. Thank you for doing this. The room was lovely and had everything we needed. Location was very good.

The room did get very hot however you do have the option of paying a little extra for AC so if you're happy to do this (as we were) then this is no problem!

This place is walking distance from the train, bus station, Galle fort, Church, restaurants and grocery stores. The budget room that we got doesn’t have a toilet on the same floor although it said private bathroom, so if you’re ok with that then, I can recommend this place. Some rooms have ensuite toilet.

We had a lovely stay :) Vijay and his family are so nice and interesting. We had great conversation together. The room was great (we just used the fan but you can pay extra for aircon) and so quiet. Very central but in a quiet area so we loved it. Access to a fridge also! Thank you for everything
