Location Some nice decor Nice size room WiFi was ok

I almost never complain when I travel, I genuinely didn’t expect luxury because the property was cheap. I didn’t care about the lack of windows in the room, the badly disguised holes in the ceilings, the creaky and uncomfortable bed or even the outside noise and noise from other rooms. As a traveller you often expect or get used to these things. Unfortunately, however, there were BED BUGS in my room when I stayed here a few nights ago. I woke up in the morning to around half a dozen of them near my pillow and left immediately. There were many (see photos) that thankfully did NOT make it into my possessions but I am covered from head to toe in bites from just staying here one night. When I raised this to the owner, she told me (paraphrasing here) that theres been reports in the media of a global issue, there’s a vicious cycle for small businesses, I should always check my things etc (definitely didn’t come from my things - I have a plastic suitcase which I kept away from bed and kept bags on the wooden table also away from bed). I’ve also seen no sign since! My issue is that there is recent history (since August) with these creatures in the room I stayed in (room 3 - read other reviews). We are now in December. There is also NO WAY that the cleaner could have missed these bugs when making the bed ready for my stay and I was still allowed to sleep on that bed in that room. I would have rather had my reservation cancelled than to have this issue. I would have understood. I’m annoyed at myself for not reading reviews thoroughly before I stayed, I’d have never of booked here. I understand things happen but sadly I don’t believe enough has been done to fix this issue - the bed or mattress certainly don’t seem new since reports in August. I’m just really grateful the bugs didn’t get into my things but I’m also really annoyed that my first night back in Portugal was tainted like this and that I am head to toe covered in bites and uncomfortable since.

Easy walk to Station.

The bed was most uncomfortable. No window in the small room for air. Dark inside. Front door was difficult to close. Check in was easy once we phoned the owner.

The location is great - and that is all. It is a room (and the whole place) without windows and you can feel moisture in the air. I am happy we stayed only one night, otherwise, it felt like being in a grave.

Moisture, no fresh air, kitchen is not too clean, although bathroom and toilet are OK. You pay additional for the tourist fee, it is not included in the price.

The location was very convenient to go to all spots of the city, and the simpaty of staff.

Very good opportunity, simple and efficient

I didn't know that it was the best value for money of my 3 accommodations.

Good value for money. Shared kitchen.

Room did not have a window.
