The location is very centrally located and clean The apartment has a small kitchen to cook, a TV and a bathroom with shampoo and bathing gels.

The bed is a bit hard to sleep. As others said, it's a bit noisy at night sometimes till 2 am because of outside people.

Everything in the studio apartment. The interior soundproofing is good, but, as other reviewers have said, there are street people outside at night and noisy cafes during the day.

No written instructions inside the apartment as to what to do with the keys on checking out. Technology does not always work. (I couldn't access the emailed instructions on my tablet.)

I booked this apartment due to previous reviews and its central location. The owner of the apartment is super friendly, I informed her when I made the booking that I would arrive at 20.40 PM (out of check-in hours) which was still ok, as long as I kept her informed when I was about to arrive which I did during my arrival, she awaited me with her husband at the door. The apartment is super nice, the kitchen has pans, salt/pepper and oil to cook and olive oil which was great! I did not had issues with any noise, as I was during the day out, and only was there most of the time in the evening for dinner and to sleep. The square where the apartment is located is mostly busy during daytime (for lunch) but in the evening only a few people are sitting there. The supermarket (Pingo doce and continente) are located on 5 minute walking distance, also the market lavradores is less than 10 minute walk and also the avenida do Mar is nearby. The cable car station as well as the historic centre (santa maria) is also less than a 10 minute walk. If you do not want to rent a car, this location is amazing, as it has a super central location, close to the busses, but you can also order a bolt/taxi if needed. Also, if you want to arrange tours, the pick-up locations will be near the apartment. I booked a few of them, either they picked me up at the square of the apartment or I had to walk less than 5 minutes to a busstation for a tour to pick me up. I highly recommend this apartment, and would like to thank the owner once again for this amazing stay! She is always available whenever you need something!

This was the nicest place I stayed in Madeira; super comfortable with small added touches really giving it a “homey” feeling. Everything is within walking distance and the owner is super kind. She waited for me past midnight to let me in due to a delayed flight, and was always available over the phone.

Nothing at all, I’d highly recommend it!

Great host, helpful, good communication, friendly! Central location, easy to reach the main points on foot, supermarket close by. Bar and restaurants around as well.

Some ants could be problematic.. Don't leave your sweet things on the kitchen area 😅
