Tianyi Homestay

Joyce and the Host family were extremely accommodating and helpful. They even picked us up from Fenqui Hu station and from the hot pot restaurant we walked to for dinner (highly recommended for a traditional hot pot experience, about 1.5km away from homestay)

The family and staff who run this place make it what it is. We were there during a typhoon so we could hardly do anything, but the family invited us to their home cooked dinner and karaoke gathering with their family friends. They educated us all about tea (they’re the only ones who grow organic tea in the whole area!) and we just enjoyed talking to them overall. This place is REALLY special.

The communal space could be cleaner, it’s a bit chaotic! But the rooms are really comfortable and clean.

Staff was very friendly. The accomodation is at a tea farm and we were served excellent tea prepared by the farmer. The farm is easily accessed by public transportation (bus from Chiayi). The host even gave us a lift to the bus stop when we were leaving.

The property is simple and clean! Very homey vibes. Many adorable cats and the friendliest dog. It’s about a 12-15minute walk uphill, but you get some great views of the tea fields as you walk up! The owners were also incredibly accommodating and all have a great passion for tea. Joyce even offered to pick me up from Alishan when I said I was worried about not getting a bus ride back.

Die Unterkunft liegt ein wenig ausserhalb, man hat eine sehr schöne Aussicht auf die Teeplantagen und die Berge. Die Mitarbeiterin ist sehr hilfsbereit und aufgestellt .

Das Frühstück ist eher etwas mager. Der Aussenbereicht wirkt etwas unordentlich.

The hosts were so accommodating. We had a wonderful experience picking and preparing tea as well as learning about the Alishan area. We had great conversations over pots of tea, and the hosts also helped us with transportation to the surrounding areas.

The accommodations are somewhat simple, which is fine for the price. One watchout is there is no AC, so the rooms can be a bit stuffy in summer.
