Tianyi Homestay

location is good walking distance to town. homestay drove us to fenqihu. they offered to pick us up from the bus stop (but unfortunately the message came too late as we were already busy walking up to the homestay). opportunity to mingle with other guests and share experience. breakfast is very delicious and they offered freshlly brewed tea. we were soaked and they offered us to use the dehumidifier to dry out shoes etc - which was extremely helpful as otherwise we would suffer. the dog and cats were amazing and cute.

pricing of the tea sold is more expensive than in town. the tea experience seems a bit rushed (due to there being earlier guests also signed up) and unprepared as we had to go to another place to tea pick as the one which was behind the homestay had foot path which looked wet and difficult to walk and later on they were cleaning/dusting certain tools for the roasting. it would be good to see in real life the whole process including the tea roasting,. experience is tea picking (unfortunately we could not pick much nice leaves in the place where they brought us to), tea frying (good experience), tea kneading (good experience) and tea packing (good fun to draw own tea wrap and to put the final roasted tea into the bag). it was good experience to understand personally how difficult it is to pick tea leaves.

Accueil absolument charmant, on se sent chez soi tout de suite, avec le sourire à répondre à toutes nos questions. On a eu la chance de boire du thé avec de très belles explications et de partager de beaux moments. La chambre avait une vue merveilleuse sur toutes les montagnes et plantation de thé. Nous avons eu un moment une panne d’eau chaude, dans les 10min le boss est venu et a tout arrangé!

Peut être refixer les petites fuites d’eau dans la salle de bain

Amazing place, location great with trails near property and short drive from Fenqihu, but best thing is the Joyce and the family hosting, and the tea-picking you can do. Also OK the dog and cats <3
