HOUSE OF LÝ

Initially I was worried because the owner, Madam Ly, speaks no English, but it turns out she's an absolute wizard on Google Translate. Additionally, her son Mike who's speaks excellent English was often around and gave us lots of info. There was slight misunderstanding on our bill -- not their fault -- and they were incredibly gracious and generous about settling it.

Location, tidiness, and hospitality are top-notch! Ly is a beautiful person. Our family wishes you all the best! ❤️

We had a great stay at House of Ly. Mrs Ly was very welcoming with fresh watermelon to cool us down when we arrived. Room was comfortable and good value, bed was good and airconditioner worked well. Everything was very clean and towel was changed daily. Mrs Ly also offered fresh homemade yoghurt, such a treat. Very well located, just a street away from the walking street.

It may be difficult for some people to use the stairs if they have mobility issues.

3 flights of stairs to room, air conditioner not very effective in cooling entire room, no change of towels daily, no fridge in room although was advertised in property description...there is a fridge in the kitchen 3 stories down, nowhere to put soap in shower recess and shower spraying all over the toilet while in use.

Ms Ly was an excellent host. She was lovely, thoughtful and very supportive during our stay. The house is located in the central of Hue, so it is convenient to travel anywhere. Definitely stay here if I come back to Hue.

Large spacious room that was super comfortable and exceptionally clean. Amazing hostess that went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Great location.

The host is very lovely and approachable. Despite the language barrier (we had to use Google Translate), she enjoys making conversation. As we were leaving after the checkout time, she allowed us to store our luggage while we explored a little more. The amenities are more basic (e.g. kettle, toothbrush, comb, hairdryer) but it's more than enough with the amount we paid for. The rooms are clean and the location is ideal as it's close to the walking street. As it is situated in an alley, the area is quiet but please note that cars may not be able to enter. However, the main street is just a minute walk so it isn't a problem.

I was under the impression that there will be elevator as one of my friends has a slight difficulty with walking. BUT this is something that I should have confirmed beforehand rather than making my own assumption.
