HOUSE OF LÝ

Absolutely loved this place. Very cosy room with a comfortable bed, high ceilings, black out curtains etc.. The building is very beautiful, as is Ms Ly. She is very sweet and lovely and gave me some good local tips on cuisine to try. The building is located down a safe and friendly alley way which is lined with restaurants, cafes etc. 30 second walk and you will fined heaps of places to eat and drink. Despite being in a great location, the room is quiet. 4 minute taxi ride to Hue Citadel. You will love it here. Highly recommend to solo travellers or couples.

I was under the impression I would get a double bed with a private balcony but on arrival it was a twin with a balcony that was accessible by any other traveller in the house, which was a bit annoying because the windows are all glass and didn’t seem that secure. They told us we were the only guests so we stayed but I really think a security gate could be installed for safety or something. Also the rooms are quite sparse and there aren’t really many amenities, but then the price reflects that.

HOUSE OF LÝ was a very special place to stay. Great location and exceptional value. A family business run by a caring and lovely family. I thoroughly recommend staying here and we would have no hesitation in staying again given the opportunity.

The location is wonderful and close to some great food places such as the Chan Cafe and Quán Hạnh. The room size was large, offering great value overall. But the highlight is the lovely family that run HOUSE OF LÝ. We were treated well and made to feel welcome. We really appreciated the kind hospitality we received. Also, the bed here was amongst the most comfortable we experienced on our holiday.

Nice hotel in central location in a tiny and relatively quiet road. Nice rooms with partially historic flair - at least the big one. Be aware that cheaper rooms do not have outside windows. Friendly owner who offered us fruits for free. Communication only via Google translater possible. At the end we bought our bus tickets outside.

Mrs Ly makes this property. She is genuinely warm, helpful and funny and loves a good chat with Google translate. Whatever you need - nail salon, laundry, motorbike- she has a relative who can help you. The hotel is also incredible value for money with a huge room & balcony & located within walking distance to all the restaurants & nightlife.

The host was so lovely. She did her best to communicate with us and.offered us information and help when.we needed.

The shower was very close to the toilet which made the whole bathroom wet. Walls very thin. We could hear.our neighbours.

Everything was perfect!
