I had the room at the top with the view of the ocean from your bed. So so nice. Loved staying there. The hosts are really lovely and looked after me!

This homestay and restaurant is right on the beach serving fresh fish from the ocean that they prepare in front of you. It's a family-run business with a warm and cozy atmosphere. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful and the food is delicious (breakfast is included!). It's the best sport in Amed to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. The accommodation is conveniently close to many amenities, beauty salons, beaches for snorkelling, restaurants and coffee shops.

Nice and comfortable room right on the beach. It's a shame that I only stayed for one night. Owners very nice. The restaurant right on the beach was amazing and had a great atmosphere. The food was one of the best I ate in Bali. I will definitely stay here again next time!!

the room itself (room 2) was spacious and it was clean on arrival. there are powerpoints next to each side of the bed. there is a wardrobe and dresser for clothing. the fan and the air con worked fine. breakfast had the usual options (nasi goreng, mie goreng, banana pancake etc) plus a coffee/tea or juice (not both). the staff were friendly and always had a smile and said hello =) the property is right on the beachfront. the restaurant served fresh fish everyday for 40K (just don't look in the kitchen - it is very unclean!).

I really wanted to rate this property highly as it is owned by a lovely Balinese family, however it was not great value for money. the bed was uncomfortable on one side (I guess its the side that everyone sleeps on?) and the springs stuck up through the mattress making it difficult to sleep. the wifi was terrible both in the room and outside on the terrace (we had much better wifi at the neighbouring property once we moved on). we stayed for five days but they only cleaned the room once (on day three). there is no rubbish bin in the room at all! our toilet kept running non-stop for days but we just closed the door to stop the noise. the shower didn't have anywhere to hang the nozzle as the holder on the wall was broken, so we just held it when we showered. there is the usual Bali mould on the walls and in the corners, which is present at every property and isn't a big deal for us. unfortunately I got sick from the breakfast (vegetable omelette) and couldn't be away from a bathroom for two days, plus I had terrible stomach cramps. the mie goreng was safe to eat and we didn't get sick from that. the worst part about the property was when you stepped outside the room. there were soooo many cats, kittens, dogs, chickens and baby chickens everywhere outside. there were all in bad health (infected sores, parasite worms, fur missing etc) and they were very hungry - the cats would always try to jump up on you during breakfast to get your food. the chickens would stand at your feet and try to jump at your forkful of food! it would have been funny if it wasn't so sad too. the laneway from the rooms to the front of the property always had cat vomit or chicken poop to walk around. I also saw (live!) cats and chickens hanging out in the kitchen - it was unhygienic, even by Bali standards! there is no fridge, kettle or water provided in the room, but that is fair for this price point. it was a relief to leave here =(

we were in the dorms and it wasn’t clean (sheets and bathroom - the staff was helping and changed the sheets immediately upon request) dorms really need to be refreshed: no hot water in the shower, the door isn’t closing…
