Enthral View Homestay

The best experience we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Tharushi and Nirusha take care of every detail to make you feel almost part of their family. The room is extremely clean and comes with all the furniture you need: mosquito net, big and comfortable beds, fan, a huge mirror, kettle and a set of mugs, glasses, tea and sugar so you can have a beautiful tea anytime. The bathroom is huge, very clean and the shower has warm and cold water. The terrace is beautiful and has great light; having breakfast here listening how the breeze moves the leaves of the trees around is so special. Food is also magnificent. We had lunch in a restaurant in town the first day we were in Ella and, honestly, it’s nothing to compare with the quality and taste of what Nirusha cooks. Her food is tasty and home cooked with love and time. We had dinner with them every night and we recommend you to do so. Also breakfast if huge and tasty; you won’t be hungry by lunch time! We felt at home with them: initially thought we could stay there 2 days but eventually stayed for 5 days, and we were very sad when we said goodbye. We deeply recommend you to stay here, it’s an experience you’ll jeep in your heart. Thank you Tharushi and Nirusha for all your care, love and help. We’ll see you again :)

Very respectful and friendly host. Beautiful terrace surrounded by trees. Different breakfast every second day.

Pretty far from the center (20 min on foot). Walking to the center means descending around 100 meters and then ascending the same. Wifi basically didn't work 2 last days (out of 8 in total). Description on booking.com is too broad (no shampoo or shower gel, no hairdryer).

Great location up the hill away from the city noise. We rented a scooter so it made the stay easier, otherwise walking would be quite difficult. Very private balcony was a bonus. Breakfast was delicious. Hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating.

Linens felt a bit worn/dirty. Mattress can use a protector. Otherwise no major complaints.

Great experience with really helpful and friendly staff. Room was clean (taking into account the local standards), meals were great. Our host tried their best to make our stay great. WiFi worked properly.

The access could have been better signposted

The property was excellent, the room was very spacious and clean, the beds were comfortable, and there is a lovely private balcony area. The hosts were really friendly and the breakfasts were amazing!
