Rustic feels while being only a 10min drive from Hoi An old city area. The accommodations are a bit on the rustic side but the bed is comfortable. AC works well in the sleeping area. It’s a really nice place to get away from all the tourists and feel like you’re a part of the local community.

The bedding was absolutely excellent! Adorable huts, perfect pool, nice shared kitchen, very helpful owners, good air con, the free beach is right next door, and a few very good food options at a 5 minute walk.

Nothing! Yes the roosters next door wake up very early, but there are free earplugs and honestly they’re really not that loud.

It’s a quirky stay in the middle of a street with no other hotels. You can hire moped cheaply to get around and all enquiries were dealt with immediately.

The kitchen could do with a little clean and spruce up.

A little hidden gem between the local residents. The pool was a winner and the bed was very comfortable.

"a very nice place for a short stay, next to the best restaurant in Vietnam - Mate Restaurant"

10.0

Original place to stay

the rooms were not very safe - it was impossible to change the padlock code to lock the house - each guest could easily guess the code and go inside, there could have been someone at the reception

"Make it short and it’ll be sweet."

7.0

I really loved the concept and the idea of a coconut hut. I also like that the work area is separate from the sleeping area, giving it dimension. The bed was also really comfortable. The internet was good too! I appreciated the property manager Johana’s efforts to help me with my needs. The hut is in a good area in regard to the beach. Eating options are plenty too and I highly recommend Mate or an even closer garden restaurant for anyone searching for a good meal. I wish I knew about it earlier because I ordered food through grab on my first night.

I think if I stayed for 3 nights, it would have been okay for me. However, I originally booked for 14 nights or so, but this was a mistake and I wished someone messaged me about it. I learned that people usually do short stays. The reasons for this are related to the residential area where the neighbours have their own schedules. For example, playing loud music from a stereo on their front porch at 6am. This did not happen everyday, but there are a lot of other noisy disturbances. Additionally, I think the bathroom is very small and it was not clear from the photos. Once again, had I originally stayed 3 nights, my experience would not have been so stressful. Also, there’s a rooster that wakes you up at 4am, but it gets better after the initial shock for the first morning haha. At least it did for me. I left after a few nights because it was too much. I wish they also had bikes to offer guests because almost every place provides them and the amount you pay here doesn’t justify this. I also think some efforts to make the huts more soundproof would be good because I could clearly hear people from other huts, so it lacks in some privacy. As for the breakfast, I did not enjoy it. You have to walk to their sister hotel, which is 10 mins away and the food is edible, but the coffee is strange. I opted for other places during the remainder of my stay. I hope this feedback helps the property to do better and informs future guests to at least try out this really cool concept but with awareness of the realities so it does not come as a shock.
