"Nice but not great."

Innkeeper was nice. Facilities were clean.

Breakfast was less than expected. Advertised as "superb" but was a very under welling continental breakfast. Should also note on the site that a shared bathroom may be two floors down from your room.

"We were very disappointed."

Breakfast was good.

When we went to check in at 9:30pm on Friday night we were told that Booking.com had double booked our room. I am very unhappy with Booking.com. My wife and I were looking forward to our stay at Whispering Oak Mansion but instead we had to settle for an RV. We were both upset and disappointed. We will never book with Booking.com again. To be fair we can’t rate Whispering Oak Mansion as we didn’t have the opportunity to experience the facility.

The bed was comfortable and the environment was excellent. The host was responsive and nice.

"Loved it and will be returning when I get sent down there again!"

I loved the location and the ambiance of the hotel; traveling alone for work as a woman I felt completely safe and in good hands. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is passing through the area and needs a place to stay.

It was difficult to tell if the shared bathroom was in use or not. It wasn't much of an issue but I did feel like I had to keep checking. If there was a way to have a sign or tell people to turn the light off/leave the door open after they leave that would be helpful I think :).
