Thilak Home Stay

This simple property is exactly as described. It is clean and extremely well positioned next to the major sites of Hampi. It provides a real insight into staying in an Indian village, which I really enjoyed. As a lone female traveller, I felt very safe there. The manager Kish could not do enough to make my stay great from organising the pick up from Hubli airport to arranging sight seeing tours and a guide. I highly recommend this place.

The location was fantastic. Walking distance to Virupaksha temple and surrounding sites. It was in the heart of the restaurants and cafes and shops. The owner and staff were all very friendly and helpful. Kish organised by pick up from the station and also organised sightseeing based on my preferences and budget. The room was very clean and there was hot water.

The room did not have a window, and there wasn’t any indoor or outdoor communal area to sit (although from what I understand, the roof area was under maintenance. The rooms were basic but comfortable.

Perfect location, staff is really accommodating, beautiful view from the rooftop, perfect experience!

Perfect place to explore Hampi, in the middle of the Hampi Bazar. The owner and staff are very helpful and friendly. Would definitely book again..

the two hosts of thilak home stay are amazing people! so kind and helpful about everything, making sure you feel comfortable, having nice chats. provinding tours round Hampi, fair prices. even a free ride to the sunset point at 05:30, excellent service as well. the rooms are fine (little bit humid and you hear noises from the street but thats probably the case in all Hampi Stays.) after checkout you can leave your luggage there and they offer even a fresh up (shower, wash) before you leave finally. organized transfer to hospet train station is available. we warmly recommend it!

The property is near to Virupaksha temple

Property doesn’t have any window for ventilation, its very congested. Property owner has an Auto rickshaw which he tries to somehow get fixed and makes a scam and fools you…

Thilak is great! Located in the heart of Hampi you can reach all temples and Hampi hotspots easy from here. Kish, the owner, helped us with everything we needed such as transport, overnight train tickets and he even owned up to his mistake and refunded me when he overcharged me.

Very little to not like. If there was maybe one thing that wasn't great it would be that the room we were staying in was by the road so it was sometimes noisy when people or tuk tuks went past.
