Lady Gordons Homestay

Well-located house with a friendly owner. The view from the balcony is nice, the shower is great (probably the best we had in Sri Lanka), and there is a kitchen you can use to prepare a coffee or tea, use a fridge, and get filtered water. We ordered extra breakfast before heading of to our next destination, which was very handy.

The owners are very sweet and talkative and we chatted about many different topics. They gave me good advice and the view from the room was great. The owners shared delicious fruit including the best mango of my life.

Its up a big hill so can be exhausting to get up without a taxi if you have luggage. The power socket was not so good and the room could get stuffy during the day. The internet was also very spotty so working online was challenging. Although the owners were very accommodating for my work.

The owners felt like family, I’ve got food poisoning and they took care of me. I felt like home.

It is a bit up in the hill, but you get used to it. Sometimes it can get loud as there is a school nearby.

Really lovely people. Warm atmosphere. Clean. Tasty coffee and so supportive owners! Thanks a lot you made me the perfect arriving trough Sri Lanka !
