Lady Gordons Homestay

Very nice owners and a cozy room! Nothing to complain, we had a very good time staying here and got good recommendations for our time in Kandy

We had a wonderful stay at Lady Gordon's Homestay. There was absolutely nothing to complain about, it was super clean and tidy. The owners are exceptionally nice and accommodating. The location is central but still very quiet. Within 5 minutes you are at the Temple of the tooth. We will definitely be back!

The host was always very attentive, the internet works wonders for those who work with platforms such as zoom, meets, etc.

In the room with balcony did not reach the internet signal. However on the table of the entrance could work without problems. There were ants but that’s no problem in ...

The hosts were so gracious and accommodating! They took time out of their days to chat with me, talk about their culture, about the festival then going on, life, etc! They even gave me encouragement for a meditation retreat that I was about to leave for and was anxious about. I can't say enough kind things about them. And, beside the point, their place was perfectly comfortable, clean, quiet, and good value.

The hostess friendliness, the location just a few min walk from the center and the national forest, yet quiet. Nature all around, with hornbills, squirrels, monkeys, etc. We had the whole house to ourselves, including a fully equipped kitchen that was reasonably clean. The bedroom was spacious enough with a concrete balcony. Hot water, clean sheets, comfortable bed.

The style is typical Sri Lankan but needs a thorough maintenance and cleaning. The armchairs smelled bad, holes in the mosquito net don't help much against mosquitoes, no closet but a couple of hangers on a rack. Hard chairs to sit on in the lounge. Generally not made for comfort.

I was amazed at the level of standards maintained, spotlessly clean and neat , with a very simple layout so it's adoptable for any level of stay, had the pleasure of chatting with the husband and wife and daughter combo who's managing the home stay who was very warm and helpful, you can always feel the genuineness of them , I wish I had planned a couple of das more at the lady Gordon's home stay, lovely experience all around ❤️👌 P s shared a screen shot of my smart phone sleep score which is proof of how well I slept ☺️

They have stopped providing meals due to the situation, I wish I had the pleasure of tasting their food as his wives cooking was highly rated before, maybe this Will inspire them to start ☺️

I had a great time here and felt very welcome at this beautiful place. The hospitality is amazing, I'm very happy about the wonderful, interesting conversation we had at the first day over a cup of tea. Thank you for the great time!
