Let me start with the good things: - The host was incredible kind. He showed me the pictures of his family which were in the main hall. He was very kind to tell me about his family. - they also send you an email with details around sights to see in Kandy which is quite helpful.

- Wifi- it was terrible for most of the time. I had to stay on my last night until after 1-2am because I could not book a hostel for the next day. My phone does not support e-sim so I had to reply on wifi. I could not even load the booking.com page (following my trip to Sri Lanka and all issues I had- I am changing my phone). - No kitchen per say- I was under the impression from the photos I saw on here and google that there will be fridge in the kitchen. There is none. There is only plates and mugs, and a kettle. because it is so humid in Kandy- no food can survive outside. I had to throw food away. It does also give the impression they are more hospitable but no- you do not get to talk to the family much. - Cleanliness- my sheets were clean, but overall my room needed a bit more cleaning- too many spiderwebs. - It was difficult to find- my taxi went in circles a couple times until we find it..even his navigation could not find it easily and he was Sri Lankan.

The people were so nice and helpful! Also the place was very nice located. Nearby a beautiful forest with history and the city centre is also very reachable! Very big recommendation!

Host was nice and it was possible to learn something new about situation on Sri Lanka.

Great value for money, in a very quiet location. It has only two rooms and we had booked both of them, so we essentially got an entire apartment to ourselves. With spacious living room and basic kitchen. The manager was friendly and super responsive when I messaged her.

The location is quiet but a bit outside the center and away from the tourist spots. Another review wrote "5 minutes to temple of the tooth". Maybe if you're lucky by tuktuk, but definitely not on foot. It's not really a homestay, more like an Airbnb. It seems to be an apartment right next to where the family lives. But you don't really interact with them or see them much. There's no option to get breakfast or dinner (at least that was our impression, we didn't explicitly ask).

Not a problem for us but no breakfast available during our stay. This may change as the owners were away on our dates.

all was perfect! flexibility of the lady who run this, u have all appartment for yourself, there is balconi, the location was best in kandy-only 10 min of walking to the centre, there are books of srilanka, tea, the water heater, hot water in shower.

perfect stay! i deffinitelly recommend to everybody, feels like home!
