The Peppermint

We absolutely loved our stay in The Peppermint that we extended by 2 extra nights! Pringi was super helpful and just a joy to be around, we got to join her going to the local market getting all seasonal produce for the dinner we cooked together that night. Their home is located by a stream and you feel immersed in nature at night with frogs and all sorts singing! Couldn’t recommend their home enough :)

Les hôtes sont extrêmement accueillants et très gentils. Ils sont également de bon conseil. Le logement est propre et confortable.

Unable to stay due to no rooms available

The fact that we had booked in February but when we arrived there were no available rooms. We had to scramble to find alternative accommodation which was difficult because it was Sri Lankan NewYear, and this meant it cost us more.

Gostamos  muito deste alojamento  a D. Pringi e o seu marido  são  bastante  hospitaleiros. Podemos utilizar o terraço  à  noite que é  muito agradável, tal e qual como o pequeno almoço, que foi muito bom. O quarto  é  muito tranquilo virado para vegetação. A cama confortável.

A localização fica afastado fo centro, mas a nós não fez diferença.

We had the best stay at The Peppermint with Pringi and Srimal, they are so welcoming and kept us entertained from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was lovely and we had the pleasure of doing a cooking class in the evening to prepare dinner. The homestay is clean and spacious and is located a short tuktuk drive from Kandy city centre in a beautiful quiet area surrounded by jungle. We wish to return in the future!

Pringi ist ein echter Schatz. Immer da, immer hilfsbereit. Sie weiß, was das Tuktuk in die Stadt kosten darf, wo man günstig Geld tauschen kann, wo man die besten Karten für Kandyan Dance bekommt. Wenn ihr Mann Zeit hat, macht er gerne zu einem günstigen Preis eine Tour nach Dambulla und Sigiriya. Auch wenn man mit vollem Gepäck zur Busstation muss, steht er zur Verfügung. Auf dem Balkon gab es lebhafte Unterhaltungen mit Pringi und andren Gästen. Das Frühstück war vorzüglich Die Lage ist absolut ruhig

Eigentlich nur eins: es gab keine Tür zum Klo. Man sitzt sozusagen auf dem Präsentierteller

The hosts Pringi and Srimal were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. The breakfast on the terrace each morning was lovely!
