Mother's Inn Homestay

Breakfast was very good. Consisting of fresh fruit and local home cooked curries. Everyday something different, very pleasent food. The staff is incredibly forthcoming and accommodating. They helped me in arranging a variety of activities, organised taxis and a laundry service. Also it is a very clean place. I will come again when I'm in fort cochi.

The home stay is charming and spacious. Staff were helpful and delightful. Very calm, quiet location with beautiful garden.

After 6 months of traveling this is by far our favourite place we have stayed. You are welcomed into their family environment immediately and the incredible staff instantly make you feel at home. Breakfast was super tasty every morning delivering traditional Kerala dishes all bursting with flavour and obviously made with love. There was plenty to go round! The staff are amazing, everyone is extremely professional and helpful. The property is stunning, the gardens make you feel like you’re in the jungle and the rooms are perfect. I honestly can’t say enough about this accommodation, it was 10/10 and I would HIGHLY recommend!

I generally refrain from writing poorly about a property. However, it is important to bring truth to fellow travellers. The only good point about the property is its location. Close to good cafés and places to visit.

The entire property smells of dampness. We had to request room change as our room was full of dampness and bad smell. Even the second room had so many places on the wall covered with dampness. On the first evening of our stay, the fan in the room stopped working. We informed the family but it was not repaired during our stay. The bathroom has very slippery tiles and on step where I slipped while stepping out of the bathroom. They didn’t even keep basic toiletries in the bathroom. A small spray with hand wash in it was kept. There were no hand towels. There was no wiper in the slippery bathroom to wipe the water from the floor. They do not even have electricity backup. On our last morning, the electricity was gone for hours and we could not charge our mobiles. We have to go to cafe to charge our mobiles. Overall a very bad experience and definitely not worth the money they charge.

Beautiful homestay located in the back corner of a quiet and peaceful residential small road - just a couple of minutes from a main street into Fort Kochi. The property is bright, spacious, homely, and freshly decorated, with a lush tropical and quiet garden to enjoy and chill in the hammock! Our double room on the ground floor with private veranda was very spacious and clean with comfortable 4-poster bed - we had very handy little fridge freezer, kettle, fully-functioning AC, ample storage space for everything we needed, and private bathroom with amazing waterfall shower with consistent hot hot water every day 🚿😍 We couldn't speak of the staff highly enough! Our wonderful Aunties Thelma, Yancee and daughters, and ever present young man were our family during our stay - always present and there for us with a helping hand, special smiles, and cooking up incredibly tasty Indian breakfasts with fresh fruit, tea and coffee each morning - included in room price (always happy to cook up food requests also). They truly make Mother's Inn what it is - a special homestay gem for any traveller in Fort Kochi! Will always remember our stay here and would definitely recommend and return in a heartbeat 💗

Nothing we didn't like - just a couple of ideas to share...maybe the bedroom door onto the private veranda could have fitted mosquito door screen so that the door can be open and beautiful garden view enjoyed without worry of mosquitos getting into the bedroom. Also we thought maybe a slip mat in the private bathroom to help with slippiness and to provide a good grip after showers. A couple of the electrical sockets were loose and needed attention. Just maybe for travellers to be aware of, there were a few wild dogs around the streets and round and about the quiet residential streets when coming and going - mostly doing their own thing - but thought important to mention so travellers know that they seem to have increased in number....but this is nothing related to homestay who were nothing but helpful!

I've stayed here before and love this spot. The staff are AMAZING and the food exceptional.

There was a function going on in the premises but the staff was really nice about it going out of their way and even got me some cake so in all I didn't mind tooo much.
