Mother's Inn Homestay

Great location, within walking distance to some of the main city highlights! Quiet area, beautiful garden and big room. We arrived a bit earlier than planned, and the host was nice to give us our room before the official check-in time.

There is a lot of humidity, so in our room there was a bit of a damp smell, especially in the bathroom.

Charming old building in the process of renovations My room was nice if a little small ( budget room ) Bed was good and firm Good wifi and aircon, there was a fridge Quiet and relaxing - big garden surrounds, peacocks about Huge breakfasts that change daily. It's really nice to get the local cuisine for a foodie like me, and the staff was charming and helpful Room clean if ask for it Bathroom clean and tidy They take credit card with no extra charge, a good thing, many many many places in India cash is King and credit ( foreign) cards don't work 50% of the time Sure it will be a good place when they finish the works on it

The mosquito's seemed to get in the gaps in the door The grounds were also very mosquito - they need to do something - you can't enjoy sitting outside, but this also is a Kochi problem they tell me Building was going on to make a new dining area, some noise and dust The room was a little overpriced, common in India It's a bit too far away from the centre, need a tuk tuk, nothing much around those streets, but nice and quiet area, which is a bonus in India A little faulty towers, power and wifi dropped out at times. It's a work in progress, new staff not familiar with process Problems with electrics in rooms, had to ask staff to get aircon back on etc, power surge blew up a battery charger, after power went back on

Friendly and warm staff who were helpful in answering questions, booking excursions and securing travel information for my onward journey. Delicious fresh breakfast each morning with different choices. Impeccably clean communal areas and room. Large bedroom with four poster double bed. Excellent AC unit. Enormous walk-in shower room. Desk and chair with refillable, purified water bottle and glasses. Enjoyed spending time in my room. Brilliant, quiet location easily walkable to historic fort area.

I was expecting to stay with a family when booking the homestay but I have come to understand that bed and breakfast accommodation in India can also mean the family who owns the house does not live there and often will have an onsite manager and staff running it on their behalf. So in this case you will not be eating and talking with a family.

The property is very close to the beach of Fortune Kochi, the staff is friendly and helpful, the place served delicious fresh fruits and local breakfast. The place is a value for money.

Nothing to dislike.

Breakfast was fine. Air conditioning was good and cold.

Beds were rock hard. Walls were thin (woke up in the middle of the night because neighbours were having loud sex), doors had chipped wood so didn’t fully seal. When we tried to check out in the morning all the staff had disappeared but our driver was waiting so we just left.

There’s a nice garden to chill out on a hot day. The staff is extremely helpful - we were provided and early check in and were offered luggage storage if we wanted to explore the city after checking out.

Nothing - it was just the right value for money.

This is one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in Kerala. The rooms are beautiful and so clean. The food is absolutely amazing - traditional breakfast every morning. The staff are so kind and helpful and explain everything. The photos do not do this place justice it is very very beautiful. Very peaceful place also. Thank you so much for having us :)

Very good, traditional breakfast. As I had to leave early, they served it earlier for me. Very helpful in finding me a reliable tuktuk. Large room, and nice garden.

It feels more like a hotel than a homestay, but still, it's a very good small hotel!

It was clean and at the end of a road so it was fairly quiet.

I had an outside area but the garden was having work done to it so there wasn’t a nice outlook.
