Good place for rest after long trip

Staff were so nice. Location is great. Food was amazing!! I ended up staying 2 nights instead of one:)

The dinner here was really great and varied - one of the best we've had in a 1 month motorbike trip of north Vietnam. The location is convenient for exploring the abandoned military cave base and the nearby karst mountain viewpoint.

We took a fairly expensive double room and were not super happy with it. The room smelled musty and the bathroom did not smell great either. There were some kind of wood boring insects living inside the walls of the room that scratched all through the night, so loudly that even ear plugs could not stop the noise. There were a really large number of black flies buzzing around the dining area and landing on the food during the day which made eating breakfast or lunch quite unpleasant.

I stayed here during a motorcycle tour of Cao Bang. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. The bungalow was nice and comfortable. It was still a bit chilly in March, but the bungalow had a good heating system. For dinner, I joined the hosting family at the kitchen table for a nice meal. Google Maps and my Satnav had some difficulty finding the exact location of this homestay, but look for the signs posted at the entrance to and along the street and you'll find it easily.
