Silverin Bajawa

View of the mountains from the mountain view rooms was SPECTACULAR! The staff were very friendly. Shower nice and hot, bed comfortable, felt safe and it was clean. I preferred the non-mountain-view room (I stayed in 2 different rooms) because it was quieter and had own balcony, but my friend said her mountain view room was quieter. Staff are approachable so I’m guessing if you want to change, they’ll help out if they can.

It’s located out of the centre of town so you need transport to and from.

Clean and comfortable bed. No ac although not needed in Bajawa in July - was pretty cold! Hot shower for a few mins (be quick!) Bathroom drains smelt - seems to be a recurring issue on Flores so made the shower room feel unclean. Water never soaked away completely so always wet. Friendly staff, semi helpful - helped me to rent a motorbike on check in but were never at reception after so hard to get hold of. Didn’t try the breakfast as couldn’t find anyone to place my order with!

There was some loud music till late from a local nearby venue

from some parts of the place it is possible to see a volcano. Beautiful

the staff is lovely, but not prepared to deal with some circunstances that can come up. For instance, we were given our room. Then we left and come back at night. Then they told us that they put us in the wrong room and that we had to pay extra for that room because it had a mountain view (we booked a room with "mountain view", by the way, and I showed this to the manager). They told us to either pay more or to move to another room without mountain view or to leave. All of this, with a hotel that was empty (actually another room was occupied when we arrived, by a couple, to which we had recommended the hotel!!)
