Kalpana Yoga Homestay

Communication before and during our stay was excellent. The accomodation was great a homestay and we had a large room and bathroom. Water was available as well as tea/coffee. Breakfast was freshly cooked and plentiful, I asked if muesli was available and they bought some in for me. Breakfast and evening dishes were flavoured with herbs from the garden. I suffered with a bad cough and I was looked after with fresh ginger tea. The area around the homestay was quiet. Drivers were arranged for pickup and tours. Aaruush and the family were excellent hosts.

Kalpana Yoga Homestay highly recommended for a stay in Jaipur. Centrally located for setting out into Jaipur, but also only a short walk to several decent restaurant options. Excellent, home-cooked breakfasts available at the homestay itself at times of guests choosing; the dishes and fresh ingredients used described for guests' benefit. Aaruush handles guest needs and is invaluable for advice, shopping or any other arrangements, with great local expertise and transportation resources readily available.

We loved our stay here. Aaroosh was an amazing host, and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed, even helping us with restaurant reservations for new years eve, and arranging train station pick up/driver for the forts. The homestay is beautiful, the room was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. It was very cold when we were in Jaipur and there were even plenty of extra blankets in the cupboards already. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and a great location close to the city gates.

I loved the greenery, our room and the hosts.

Aarush and his brother are very welcoming, and provide good tips to go around the city. The property is nicely decorated and has a nice home vibe. The room and bathroom have very good size. Wifi is very good, which is not always the case in India (according to our experience in other hotels). Filtered water is provide as well as kettle to make tea in the room. The location is very good, close to many restaurants and cafes, and a little bit away from the chaos of the old town, which we appreciate to rest and have some calm hours during the day. It is a a 5 min. taxi or tug-tuk from the old town, so it is still very convenient to use as hub during your Jaipur visit.

The bed was a little hard for our taste (and bedding was a little bit basic). Also the room was a bit humid and cold this time of the year (end December). No hair dryer. Perhaps an extra towel for the feet would be great (one hand towel and two main towels are provided). There is a laundry company next door, and machines start at 7:30 am, which was the same time we wake up, so it was no problem for us, but if you are a late sleeper, you can definitely hear the machines in the room we got.

Kalpana provided the oasis of calm that we needed on our trip. The house is beautifully decorated and our room was so nice (the best room we have had on our entire trip), we felt like we were having an authentic local Rahjasthani experience staying there. Kalpana and Aaruush were excellent, knowledgeable and kind hosts and the food was absolutely delicious! We felt safe and well looked after for the entirety of our stay. We will be recommending it to everyone! Thanks for an amazing stay 💗
