SuKun Heritage

It was an amazing experience at staying at Sukoon Heritage site. You actually get that feel of visiting your native place and has a touch of love to it. Vikas and his mother along with their caretaker makes sure you are at the best service and provide this personal touch to your stay. Vikas's mother and my mother shared a very touching moment when they sang old hindi songs together. It was a very different experience and I would highly recommend people to stay here and experience their love.

The lady and young man managing the residence were wonderful. If you want a relaxing break, this residence is excellent.

Just a little off the main roads for me. If you leave the residence, have your sat nav because the tut tut drivers do not know where it is.

A beautiful heritage property, maintained to a very high degree Vikas the owner was not there on the property but was super responsive on whatsapp and helped us with any needs And told us about the nearby temple pool which was one of the most beautiful places we have ever swam in Vikas’ mother was also a delight every morning to have breakfast with Bless 🙏🩷

It’s slightly outside of Kannur town , so many of the restaurants we visited required rickshaw - but we ordered Swiggy one night and ate on the veranda which was absolutely gorgeous

SuKun Heritage is a wonderful property which I was lucky enough to find on Booking.com whixh has an even more wonderful host. From the time I booked till I reached back home from my vacation the host, Mr. Vikas, kept in touch with me, made me feel comfortable at his property, organised execeptional authentic Kerala breakfast, he helped me with the itinerary for the two days I was there giving me the location details and food joints we could try. I visited Kannur also for the Theyyam festival which takes place at Kannur at various temples from Jan to Mar every year and they have travellers coming from different parts of India and the World to watch this spectacular art form rich in folklore, my host gave me the right leads to visit the festival and boy I was blown by the Theyyam artists. He made sure we were covering everything from popular to off beat places and his mother also visited us at the propert and made sure we are having a good breakfast. The rooms were clean, its a legacy property with the Kerala style of architecure but also renovated to befit some of our modern needs. The property is very close to the Payambalam beach, Museum, St.Angelo's Fort, Light House and the city centre. You could also rent a bike which will be arranged by the host if you are travelling by bus or train to Kannur. All in all, I had a wonderful stay and met some amazing people and had such wonderful memories to carry back with me. I will surely visit SuKun again!

Request for a good bike in case you are renting one cause the one I received was not in a good condition and I struggled to ride it for the two days I was there and there was no opportunity of changing it as I was informed that they did not have any other bikes.

The location is serene. The hosts have my heart. Vikas, the host tries his best to make a memorable trip for you. He helps create itineraries. His mother makes great breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend

Sukun heritage is such a beautifully maintained property providing traditional atmosphere and comfort. It is tucked in a slightly distant area from the center of the city, but for us it was perfect as we got to have peaceful time there. Home cooked breakfast was amazing and we enjoyed thoroughly. The host Vikas was very helpful giving us some recommendations and even showing us around his family temple that is just nearby the hotel. We visited on 30th to 31st Dec and we were told that Theyyam performances happen around new year days in that temple itself. Unfortunately time did not allow us to witness Theyyam this time, but I imagine it would have been a wonderful experience. The effort of preserving a heritage house is very inspiring and we were so happy to have stayed there.

It felt like home in the best way possible. The moment we drove in, we were greeted and shown our rooms. We had lovely tea and the kids got to kick around a football for as long as they wanted. The rooms were great and the bathrooms well appointed and super clean. The highlight was the breakfast!

It was truly excellent. The place felt very safe, clean, and spacious—so much so that even the bathrooms were large enough to feel luxurious. The staff treated us like family, and the food was homely, delicious, and comforting.

There was nothing to dislike; everything exceeded expectations.
