The property is within walking distance of the square, restaurants, and shops. Accommodation is superb! Everything you need is available, from kaggel to braai and boma. Rooms are lovely with en-suites. Loved the house, with stunning views of the mountains, and our doggies had more than enough space to roam and explore. I would definitely book again and highly recommend it.

Rhino Retreat Clarens delivered a truly relaxing experience with its breathtaking views and serene atmosphere. The design is warm and stylish, and it’s the kind of place that invites you to slow down, soak in the landscape, and unwind. The surrounding nature really does the soul good. Waking up to mountain views and ending the day under a starry sky with a fire crackling nearby.

There were, however, a few things that held it back from being a full 5-star experience for us. The toilet seats were loose, and the beds weren’t particularly comfortable — little details, but ones you notice after a few nights. Also worth noting: the retreat is located right off a busy road and fairly close to a soccer stadium, which brought some unexpected noise, especially on game days. That said, once you’re indoors, the space does an amazing job of keeping things peaceful — it still felt like a private haven despite the occasional outside buzz. Still, it’s a beautiful spot that we’d recommend to anyone looking to disconnect and recharge in nature.

This property made us feel as being at home . There was an attention to detail that is hard to find nowadays, everything that we could have wished for was actually available there . the house was spotlessly clean , all the appliances were in perfect condition, there was nothing that we could have wished for that was missing. Bev , thank you very much for the wonderful time we had while being guests in your house!

From start to end, our experience was perfection. After confirmation of booking, Bev introduced herself and provided us with all the information of what there is to do in and around Clarens and to find out if we had any special requirements. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Bevs caretaker, who was so warm and sweet. The house was absolutely beautiful. From the unbelievably well thought-out decor and top level of hygiene, our jaws were on the floor! We were even welcomed with a personalised card and delicious sherry. We also can not forget the view from the top deck. Waking up to fresh coffee early in the morning and sitting outside with that view has imprinted forever. Nothing other than your clothing and food is required. Bev has thought of it all and not only for the humans but the pups, too. We were provided with what looked to be a fresh/new dog bed, organic dog treats, and fresh water in a provided dog bowl. This truly is home away from home. Bev, thank you for being the hostess with the mostess. We will be back, and this will be our forever Clarens home!
