Mecong Homestay

This was the best Homestay experience I have had in Vietnam. The mother and son who run this place were the nicest people and made sure I had everything I needed. The breakfast was amazing, and even better, the dinner was exceptional. A terrific variety of dishes and they give you such large portions. I couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing and peaceful stay. I will definitely be back.

Nice homestay, located in a gorgeous place. The owner and his mother (who do the cooking) are nice, even if they didn't talk to us too much cause their translator was seak (the owner was sending us messages translated in English on WhatsApp, and he answered very quickly to all our questions). They organize a tour on boat to visit the region which was great, I really recommand you to do it, the guide was amazing and the visits very nice. They also checked the bus for us and brought us to the bus station (we paid for the ride but fair enough it was 10km far, and we were quite late but they manage to get us on time!). You can have diner at the homestay. The beds were confortable. .

There are lots of dogs around, and neighbours are awake very early, so you might be awake around 5/5:30

The place surrounded by palm trees, the exceptionnally reactive, nice and accomodating hosts -they will organize everything for you if you want (boat tours, transport to the bus station, etc)-, the free bikes and water, the home-made meals. Our room had large beds, a fan, AC and a mosquitoe net. Thank you Cường and Thảo !

Dogs, chickens and neighbors like to make a symphony at night, but a pair of earplugs fixes that quite easily ! The shared bathroom is basic but perfectly functional.

It is a very nice and cosy.place to stay if you are looking for a place to explore the Melong and its surroundings.. The host family is incredibly kind and supportive and will help with anything you need.

This Homestay offers a wonderful experience in Ben Tre. The house is surrounded by the nature. The hosts are so nice :) for a convenient price they also prepare delicious food for you (one of the best in Vietnam). They also offered us a tour for a convenient price and they give you for free very comfortable bicycles to explore the area (we made 70 km in the jungle, amazing!). Thank you for taking care of us :)

Family hosting were super friendly and helpful, went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Had a delicious cooked meal there , they picked us up from the bus station, recommended things for us to do and we enjoyed the free bikes

Everything was amazing, from the beginning to the end! Cuong, the host, and his mum are such nice people, they did all they could to make my stay comfortable. They picked me up when I arrived and helped me with my bus ticket when I left, even booked it for me !! I had two breakfasts and one dinner there that were absolutely delicious, Cuong's mum cooking is delightful ! The place is a bit out of the city but there are bikes that you can borrow for free and it's just a 10/15 minutes ride through the coconuts and palm trees. I had a mosquito net in my room and an A/C + a fan. The shared bathroom was 5 meters away and it was ok. I also did the excursion they propose and absolutely didn't regret it. It gathers every activity you want to do in Ben Tre (coconut candies, ballad on the river in a boat, mat fabric...) for a really affordable price. I would totally recommend this hotel and won't hesitate to spend some time here again if I come back to Ben Tre.

The light passing through the window of the room in the morning, but a night mask is great. Some of the dogs barking a bit at night, not for too long fortunately !

Host and his mum were super nice and made my stay unique. I felt like in home. Free bikes and possibility to order dinner made by host mom.
