Mecong Homestay

After some noisy days in Saigon Mecong Homestay was perfect to relax and regain fresh energy. The hosts have been very welcoming and generous. The freshly cooked meals were soo delicious! We booked the boat tour which was also great and highly recommended! They also let us borrow their scooter so we didn't need to cycle in the heat into town. If we come back to Ben Tre, we will definitely book this homestay again!

This was an absolutely fantastic experience for our first home stay in Vietnam. We enjoyed it from the time we began. Run by mother and son who are extremely helpful. Arranged lifts for us once the bus delivered us to Ben tré from Ho Chi Minh which took away all of our stress of that. The mother cooked us a beautiful meal for dinner and breakfast with big portions!! It was delicious.The mother couldn’t have done more for us! We got caught in a down pour in town and she came on us and gave us both a lift back to the house. Really was a great experience.

Only access to the house is by motorbike but we didn’t mind as we were just happy to be part of the rural life. Their neighbours decided to have a karaoke at about 6pm - 10pm at night which I think is quite a regular thing but we found it quite funny!

Everything! Simply awesome homestay in the middle of the coconut farms. The woman living here is amazing and will help you for anything, super reccomended

Lovely host, clean and comfortable room and shared bathrooms, nice location in local neighbourhood. Free bicycle hire. We had dinner and breakfast at the Homestay and dinner was beautiful

Access road too narrow for vehicles, scooter only access. We walked in and took a scooter ride offered by family on departure. An extra driver was hired to take us to bus station. This particular ride was way to fast and terrifying. Overtaking and rushing through the busy morning traffic even though we had plenty of time. The second scooter with the owner was fine

Mother and son are extremely hospitable . They go out of their way to accommodate your needs. Inexpensive and tasty dinner can be ordered in advance. Guests can also use their bikes for free.

The location is a bit far from the main road and can only be accessed by 2 wheelers or walking.

A fantastic welcome from a local mother and son. They know thw area well and csn recommend things. The food is good and the beds were confortable. I suffered a heatstroke or a virus or both when there and they looked after me very well. The mother is a retired nurse and they are both kind.

De property is located in a quiet community just outside the main village
