Five Oaks Hamburg

A very quiet location. Great facilities to cook and if time to relax in the communal room.

It was a bit tricky for us to get to first time. The bus from the station doesn’t take payment. Very kind driver gave us a free ride . Then we were given advise about paying in advance through an app, although we then decided to walk to the station.

Orginal German House feeling , freedom in shared spaces

It was a very warm welcome, the location was good and nice for a small walk. Upon leaving the host gave us cookies which he baked.

Double bed had single blankets. Not a deal-breaker, but it would be something I'd prefer different.

The hosts were very friendly, outgoing, and helpful. It was such a pleasure to visit with them and they were ready to help in any way they could. It truly was such a wonderful stay and I am likely to stay there again in the future.

While there is a bus stop a decent walk from the house, the train station is very far away. The basement was a bit chilly, even in August, but there was a small wall heater in the room that helped to keep it comfortable.

Thank you to the hosts, Felix and Jana, for the wonderful stay. They are some of the nicest people and are dedicated to providing the best stay possible. My private room, as well as the shared common area, kitchen, and bathroom, were kept exceptionally clean. The private bedroom was decently furnished, with a large comfortable bed and heating. The common area has a nice garden view and includes a full kitchen set up and lounge area. The bathroom is shared with the other guests but is kept very clean. There is also a laundry room with washing machines and dryers. Everything is conveniently on the same level and can be easily accessed. The facilities and comfort alone are well worth the low price it costs to stay there. The home is in a peaceful part of Hamburg, with quick and easy access to the city centre on public transport. There are also some nice parks, a museum, and shopping areas in the neighbourhood. In my opinion, the best part of Five Oaks Hamburg is the hosts. They are super helpful and friendly without being intrusive, and they are constantly looking for ways to improve the guest experience at their home. Guests can trust that they will make their stay a comfortable one, and I believe that any future stays at Five Oaks will be even better than my already wonderful experience.
