Mateoasis

Mateoasis is a camping located just by Ao Taphao Beach. The owner is super friendly and easy going. She always has time for a little chit chat, what makes it feel like you are visiting an old friend. We liked our tent, it was very comfortable and spacious. The showers indeed have a weak pressure, but we found a way to use them anyway so the water was going faster ;) In general very good value for money, really nice vibe and beautiful surroundings.

The property had a unique and amazing style to it, good people to connect with in amongst people, good for a social and meeting good people on the journey, the best staff and a growing up and coming business that I had the pleasure of staying at, look forward to staying again in future if I revisit koh kood

When we arrive it was only tribes and really close to each other , very loud and the tribe is extremly small . Its No room there only you stay in tribe with one bathroom sharing with lot of people. I wouldnt recommend !

Please, make yourself a favor and don’t book there. It is so so so dirty. The facilities are not welcoming at all. Very dirty places with bunch of mosquitoes and insects. There is one bathroom / shower for over 50 people. And nothing is well maintained. I can’t believe i paid 25$/night to stay there. It is so so so expensive for what you get. You don’t even sleep on real mattress. If you decide to book, i wish for you that you don’t stay in the « main » area, everyyyyy night there was a kid YELLING loud as hell for no reasons . The owner lives there and let her kids go everywhere, you basically live with the family and their son is so so loud at night as so in the morning in the early hours.

super dear hostess not a luxurious, but very friendly, harmonious atmosphere. There is breakfast with pancakes, scrambled eggs and fruit. the hostess also rents scooters I can't understand the previous reviews. there were very normal, calm and relaxed people there. I would stay there again for one night.

It was very close to the beach

No shower was working. I had to shower outside and there was still no pressure. I didn’t have a blanket Not electricity. The host didn’t help after many times asking. The toilet wasn’t cleaned and the were more than 30 people using one toilet…
