Ibusiki Chinese Minshuku

I was perfectly willing to walk the few minutes from the train station, but since it was raining she came and got me, which was just, wow.

Please do note that you are staying in someone's home with shared facilities. It's not didn't like, so much, be prepared and aware

The location was good for ferry and train. Host was exceptional ❤️

Parking on site was satisfactory and additional spaces were available. Property proximity to the beach and attractions in town would likely make this sought after during beach season (if not for the problems with the property itself).

1. Property was neither clean nor prepared for rental. Property was in somewhat poor repair, with significant mold in the kitchen and bathroom, dirty dishes in the sink and leftover food in the fridge. This was not a case of missed cleaning between visitors - the degree of disarray indicates that this property has not been properly cleaned for a long time. The bedding and towels were clean, but that was it. 2. Check-in was confusing, as the property advertised in the listing is not where the navigation point leads - it leads to an entirely separate property which is not listed. Guests can not find the property via the photos provided without someone to lead them there from the rally point, which requires meeting the property owner (or an agent) to find the property. My family and I arrived three hours later than we had planned and did not think this would be an issue, as the property owner had told us that they would not be there to meet us. At the rally point we found a folder with our names on it and pictures of a different property. We ended up parking in a vacant parking lot and texting the property to have someone come meet us, as the pictures provided were for a house that was three blocks away. 3. Property does not match the description in the listing, as there is not a queen-size bed in the house - only a standard. This is a private home that has been 'converted' into a rental property with the addition of commercial exit signs - but nothing else. The concept described in the property owner's reply (in the photographs below) describes the property as a concept akin to a hostel, but this would be inaccurate. 4. Property listed as 'pet-friendly'. I would not recommend for small children or pets due to the staircase.

Dirty room. Nice host who shared her dinner with me but not worth the price when you see the state of the room… need a big clean.

The location was good - but hard to find.

The bath room was dirty. We paid for a public bath on our second night as we didn’t want to use it again. The toilet smelt bad. We had booked a queen bed but were given two fold out beds and were advised to place them together. They were very uncomfortable.

The proprietor let me borrow a bike to go to the sand onsen. It was super helpful. Also, came in to give some advice about the transportation schedules the following day. Very helpful!
