Kashmir Homestay

The wonderfull hospitality of the host and his family. He were well cared of with loads of tea and snacks.

The matras is - even for Indian standards - uncomfortable.

Very homely atmosphere at Kashmir Homestay. Room is actually a flat with kitchen and attached bathroom, good heating facilities and it's on the way to Tangmarg. Hot water was available throughout the day. Ather Bhai is a very kind young man. He went out of the way and helped us. He was in touch with us throughout our Kashmir trip and gave valuable inputs about where to do shopping and from which place you should not do the shopping. His father and Mother are also very kind. They treated us like their family members. Overall a great experience!

One small suggestion: Tea / coffee making electric kettle can be added in the room.

The homestay hosts are fabulous sweet people. They looked after us as their own family.

A little far from Gulmarg

Property is on the highway 10kms before Tangmarg. As we reached we received a warm welcome by their family. The facilities were excellent and provided bed warmers water bottles and bhukari to keep us warm all day. Owner and the entire family were extremely sweet and greeted for dinner at their place. they prepared us a special vegetable meal and made us feel comfortable as if it was our own place. A must stay place if you are planning a stay near Gulmarg.

I had this most memorable & amazing homestay in the most scenic beautiful Gulmarg at Kashmir Homestay with Ather and his parents and it was my best ever homestay. Comfort, warmth, ambience, location, cleanliness were 10/10 👌 and most importantly I've never received such a personalized service from any other hotel or homestay. Ather was there to welcome me at the gate and entering into their home made me feel like my own home, as Ather and his parents welcome me and treated me like their own son. I've never experienced this warmth and kindness from any other homestay or hotel. The property is really easily accessible as it's located on the Srinagar-Gulmarg highway very closer to both Gulmarg and Doodhpathri, so I could easily explore these 2 places with minimum cost. The view from the balcony was also mezmorizing. I must mention that, thanks to Ather's father I was suggeated to see Doodhpathri which became my most memorable experience ever. Even before checkin to his homestay, Ather was already communicating and was kind enough to facilitate me with all my needs. He provided a ton of helpful tips, not only for Gulmarg, but also for my whole Kashmir tour, which I found out to be immensely helpful. Parents of Ather were really kind and provided me with their delicious home cooked Kashmiri food and it was such an amazing unforgettable experience. I felt like I was really fortunate to find this homestay and I have no words to describe this wonderful experience. I wish Ather and family Good luck and continuous success !!

Very nice ambience, family friendly and superb service. Everyone is very nice and makes you feel welcome especially Dawn. The rooms was impeccably clean, and all the facilities were in perfect working order. Thank you for your excellent hospitality, I would highly recommend. The homestay is located in the way to Gulmarg,You will fell like you are at your farmhouse not in a holiday,Mr Ather the host of the homestay is too polite and helpful, You can cook your own food in the kitchen with all the utensils and grocery provided by the homestay with no extra cost. Don't forget to sip a cup full of zafrani kawha made by aunty You will just love it .

Nothing to be disliked

A warm, generous and kind family who opened their home to us and treated us with so much love and care. Ather was always just a message away and ensured that we were well fed, warm and comfortable. They not only ensured a pleasant stay but also that we get from place to place in the most comfortable and cost efficient manner. Aunty was always ready with how many ever cups of chai we wanted and Uncle was always ready for a conversation. Such a sweet beginning to our Kashmir trip.
