Badjoeri Ethnic Wooden Homestay

Lovely feel, beautiful, great for excursions in North Bandung. Very kindly allowed us to use the kitchen facilities to boil water etc staff were very lovely especially the waiter Waywan and hotel owners daughter Nabeela who made us banana fritters on last day.

The homestay is on a road where there is a reasonable amount of through put, thus can be quite noisy when trying to go sleep. Our room was not sure conditioned but the fan was perfect especially as Bandung is at a higher altitude so cooler.

Host was very friendly, shared recommendation and helped us find a local bike rental.

No homestay experience, basically only rented room. Heavy smell of deodorizer which was not possible to remove even after day of ventilation. Quality and cleanliness do not reflect price of the accomodation. Cold shower water only.

Ethnic and like a family old house, clean and comfy. The owner is very nice and helpful, like giving us extra bedcovers and pillows, sajadah for praying, tea and coffee. The bathroom is large enough, clean with hot and cool water.

A lot of fabric and old stuff that is not suitable for my kids who have allergies to dust. The set top box tv in my room is broken.

Best host and truly welcoming. Guided us graciously on our trips, ensuring all our needs were met every single day. Promised to be back soon. Highly recommended this beautiful priceless homestay to everyone who is looking for an unforgettable experience. The host Pak Hilwan is very generous, he shared lots of historical, cultural & traditional subjects with us.

Had the most amazing two days at this homestay. Very friendly owners, felt so welcome. Had great conversations but there were also a lot of area’s to relax privately. Owner also brought us to some very nice local places. I can go on and on about how great it was, but everybody should see for themselves. Beautiful place to stay in Bandung, clean room and delicious food.

Badjoeri Ethnic Wooden Homestay is a real authentic place, it breaths character and atmosphere, full of traditional furniture, decoration and with a garden full of plants and homegrown fruits. A real, cute Indonesian home, with stairs, doors, rooms, which makes you feel like Alice in... Indonesia. Our host, Hilwan, is simply an amazing person. The energy and love he puts into the well-being of the guests is unmatched. He picked us up from the train station, introduced us to his amazing family and proudly showed his place. We even got an upgraded room, because it was vacant. The home made breakfast is delicious from nasi or mie to fried vegetables, pisang goreng served with fresh fruits out of nature. Vegetarian? No problem, you get a custom baked plate. He took us to places in Bandung, you wouldn't find on a typical tourist map. This is a person who does good and you will feel it the moment you spend time with him. Running a home stay with such passion, love and care is what every visitor wants and we will sadly leave the place, but with a beautiful memory in our hearts.
