-Amazing and super nice host. The place felt like home and we didn’t want to leave - Nice room with big and comfortable bed, AC, bathroom with hot water, huge closet and table where you can work. - There is a kitchen where you can cook - super friendly dog that will let you pet her belly :)

amazing hosts! very kind and friendly. they drove us to the bus station on our last day. breakfast was good and they showed concern when my children didn’t eat much on the first morning asking what they would prefer on the second day which was thoughtful and kind.

I think a plug in bug repellent would have been good as a few bugs around.

Amazing local breakfast - the best curry I have had in our 3 weeks so far in Sri Lanka. The family were so helpful and kind, organising a whale watching tour for us at a great price, doing some laundry (again at a good price). Nice quiet location, short walk to restaurants and the beach. And an adorable dog!

western breakfast is also nice but simple and smaller, we had this once. The door to the room is quite thin so when another guest sits outside in the evening sound travels easily.

Very quiet place with fairly large garden, at a few minutes walk to the beach. They serve a basic but good breakfast, and they have a very happy dog.

It should be a really long list:) I stayed there for a month, working remotely and exploring the surroundings. The place is very clean, I could walk barefoot without any irritation. My room was cleaned and the linen was changed regularly. The hosts helped me with the laundry as well as with anything I might need. Me room was really good - spacious enough with a workspace, A/C, a wardrobe, big bathroom with hot water. What’s important- there were no mosquitoes in my room at all, no other bugs or animals, never. The homemade breakfasts were great- fresh fruit every day and some mix of local and European cuisine (I loved hoppers so much!). The garden is very beautiful, the location is perfect- not far from the beach, cafes, bus station, but very quiet. And the most important- the owners! It is a wonderful family which made me feel like home. I felt very comfortable and safe. They are very delicate and peaceful as well as helpful- mr. Sunil organized a whale watching trip for me and also joined me with their family on my trip to Udalawawe park. I had a wonderful chance to see the life of a local family and to feel as a part of it. I’m very grateful and will come again!

The internet connection sometimes could be unstable and there are daily power cuts. But this is not about the place, it’s about the town and the island in general. Mobile internet was enough for my work calls and there was also some light made by the owners which worked in the room even during the power cuts.

This is a great place to stay in Mirissa. While I didn't fancy Mirissa that much (the beach is stunning but the town is a bit too tourist for me), my stay at Sun Vivanta was one of the highlights of my trip to Mirissa. The family was warm and super friendly and I definitely felt very very welcome there. I was offered tea and some fruit from their garden, everything was clean and comfortable and the wifi was really good. Also, the area is quite and kinda shaded.

Amazing host! Offering tea and even a small breakfast. Good room with everything needed. Very good location a few minutes away from the beach. A cute dog on the top of it. Highly recommend to stay there !

Lovely homestay. Such welcoming hosts in a peaceful location. Easy walk from beach and plenty of shops and cafes. The hosts organised amazing whale watching tour for us, breakfast was lovely and was always there to offer us amazing homemade coffee ...you must try this :) Room was comfortable and spacious bathroom equipped with all we needed. Thank you again
