Supermarket close by, close to airport

The room was dirty, in the bathroom there was about 8 other guests used soaps in the soap dish. No towels provided and no top sheet for the bed. You were literally just provided a bottom sheet and pillows, with the bottom sheet barely covering the mattress. The pillows were like concrete blocks. The toilet did not flush, had to keep filling it with water to make it work. The windows didn’t shut resulting in mosquito central. There were someone else’s clothes in the wardrobe. The door to the room was frosted glass so could be seen through. The room was damp and the hallway was also mouldy. We felt slightly uneasy staying here and would not stay again. This place was not what we expected from reading the views and the pictures.

The hosts chamith and his mom were welcoming and kind people.they gave me a coffe upon arrival and had a good conversation.the location is great with many restuarents and super markets near by .the room was clean and big .i would recommend this place with a homey feel ..

our flight arrived at very late night，THANKS to owner and his family we can check in late at night after they go to rest，really kind and helpful and honest family，near homestay there is a supermarket，quiet and safe location and nice garden，highly recommend

Absolutely exceptional service. Good value for the money. Clean and quite place to crash.host chamith is very helpful. Nothing go wrong with this place if you need to be close to the airport..

Mr Chamith was amazing! It was my first day in Sri lanka..chamith gave me all the good tips for how to came up with the good iternary around srilanka. The room was clean and big and he and his mom was attentive to my needs ..lovely and friendly place run by a a very sweet family..

I had such a good stay at Hellen’s! I truly felt very welcome and comfortable. Chamith, Hellen’s son, is beyond kind. They invited me to dinner - a delicious homecooked meal by Hellen - and ended up having a really good time. Moreover, they go out of their way to help you - he even got up at 4am for me to order a taxi to the airport! The room is good too and it is also a good place for when you have a layover (it is close to the airport). 100% recommend!
