Room was very comfortable, really nice common spaces (pool & courtyard), quiet peaceful location close to parks & centro, great value :)

After starting with a bit of frustration regarding the clarity of the address details on Booking I really enjoyed my stay at Catrina & Diego. It is a special place and has a feeling of a bygone era, when the pace of life was slower and more genteel. I stayed in two different rooms and both were decorated in an old style grandeur with lovely touches ... beautiful crystal side lamps, a wrought iron bed in one, large antique pieces of furniture. The bed was large and comfortable, shower water hot, there was even a blow dryer! There was a mini fridge in the room as well as a shared kitchen. The pool was perfect for cooling off from the heat of Merida. There was often gentle music being played, adding to the peaceful atmosphere. The host Juan Carlos was a kind and gentle person, helpful and always sensitive to your needs and his two cats added a personal homely feeling. It was a memorable stay.

While not a big issue it is worth noting that the location is not in the Central Historic area, it is around a 20 minutes to visits sites and go to restaurants. As a solo female I felt safe in Merida so I did not find it a problem to make the walk there and back in the evening. The wifi was a bit patchy on occasions

Excelente localización, facilidades y atención. Una excelente opción de hospedaje, no solo para corto plazo, para quienes quieran vivir la esencia de una casa mexicana. Juan Carlos es una extraordinaria persona y siempre disponible para facilitar ayuda y recomendaciones. Sin duda, volveríamos.

Showed up hotel after having booked it weeks in advance, only to be told they were booked full and that I would have to deal with the owner myself for a refund.

Juan Carlos è stato un host eccellente, molto disponibile e chiaro nelle indicazioni sull’utilizzo delle varie utilities (tv, aria condizionata, ecc.). La villa coloniale è veramente bella e ha un potenziale enorme, sembra di stare in un museo. Il letto è comodissimo e spazioso. Il parcheggio privato e chiuso da un cancello è un lusso per Merida. La posizione è centrale e comoda ma anche tranquilla. Ci sono anche due bei gattini

L’impianto idraulico deve essere migliorato, l’host ci ha spiegato come utilizzarlo, e funziona, ma ha già in programma di provvedere alla situazione (essendo una villa antica necessita di qualche aggiornamento)
