Nirrvaan homestay

The room itself is lovely, the bed is so comfy and there is a decent tv and proper aircon. It was one of the nicest bedrooms we stayed at in Kerala. However, our ‘balcony’ was on the ground floor and a car had parked right in front of it for most of our stay so that’s all we could see. A few mornings we saw an old couple looking into our bedroom, literally with their hands on the glass staring in whilst we were in bed. As our room was on the ground floor we could hear every sound from the kitchen which was pretty annoying. The cook who works there is very sweet.

Everything about the property and service offered. Indian breakfasts were varied and very tasty. Raji was delightful member of staff who made our stay thoroughly enjoyable.

A very warm welcome, lovely bedroom with great a/c, superb breakfast which varied every day, filtered bottled water available. Beautifully appointed home with sensible features such as a hand wash sink in dining room. Best of all was Raji, who looked after us with her excellent cooking and pleasant personality. The garden and grounds were very well kept making the home a lovely place to be to unwind after the hustle and bustle of the cliff area. We were able to park our rental scooter inside the gate.

We did feel very awkward having to ring the bell when the outer door was shut as we were not supplied with an outside door key to get in. Some form of access would be helpful, that would allow entry without constantly bothering staff when they may be busy doing something more important.

As a guest at Nirvaan Homestay you are not treated as a customer but like a friend. This is genuine behaviour, not made up. The traditional breakfast Kerala style is extraordinary. There is only a few minutes walk to the beach.
